I'm working on building an interview site like Mixergy but with a focus on brick and mortar businesses.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a domain name thats catchy.

I'm hoping for some suggestions from some of you.

Here's a few I came up with. (Anyone know how to add a poll to the post?)

trepsview

trepular

trepize

trepory

trepology

What do you think?

+1 vote on using thesaurus.com. Exactly what I do. And maybe slight misspellings, but still recognizable, versions of the words if the domain isn't available.

Whatever you do, please don't create a "new" word by ditching vowel (tumblr.com, selectivizr.com and all the other fiddlr's, riddlr's etc.)

The last one you suggested sounds best to me, it's easiest to say, and "coolest". Though maybe it can be confused for "tripology". But from offered choice that one's best IMHO.

The issue I would raise with trepology is that it immediately makes me think of apology. What is your site apologising for?

I'd keep it simple personally. Not really a fan of Mixergy as a brandname, although Andrew's interviews are very good.

Brickinterview.com and brickinterviews.com are both available as an example.

That way you will have a name that doesn't feel unfamiliar for Andrews audience, it' short and memorable, brandable etc..

Nice one! Btw.maybe worth noting - with such names, with no meaning, it's on you to build a brand and meaning around it. Can be rewarding, and can be tough as well.

At the end of the day I do think the quality will prevail, and if your website offers something of value, any decent domain will do.
