I just read a post on a self improvement plaform and would like to get your guys perspective on it, i will share mine after the post;

“Hey guys I’ve just had my best day so far and would like to share it with you all

I completed every single one of my habits today (!)

Woke up at 5AM

Made my bed

Did a cold shower

Meditated for 30 mins

Did my stretching and gratitude journaling

Went out for morning sunlight and did my first 45 min workout

Made a really nice lunch with a ot of vegetables and eggs

Cleaned my room

Did another 45 min workout

Read 10 pages in my book

The only social media I watched was youtube (self improvement videos and only an hour)

Played 0 videogames, watched no porn and did not fap

I just finished my journal for today

And now I am writing this post, I will shut down my computer after this and go to bed early”

I get that this is better than watching Netflix all day but what are you actually getting done if you are so busy with all these habits? Surely waking up at 8 and just start working will get you further than this.

All the reactions on this post were something along the lines of Great job! Well done! Amazing work etc. Now the reason for me to write this post is not to shit on this guy. He is probably doing better than he did before but it is just an example of how focusing too much on all the habits and improvement can be counterproductive and working harder is probably doing you more favours.

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this, because i also realise that working out, waking up early, meditating etc are good things to do
