Hello guys, ive only made a few posts and all of them today!
As i wrote im my introduction im running a soccer agency and have for the past 2 years not made any money, or to little to mention.
Just to describe quick what a soccer agent does. My job is to find good client(players, coaches or clubs) and help them find each other and help them seal the deal. Agents take commission from 3% to 10% from the players/coach salary. I have a friend playing in the highest divison in netherlands earning 100 000 dollars each month so 5% of that each month equals . And this kind of salary in soccer is not something special, many countries in the world can give more than this.
so what is my problem? Why is the money not coming in? Im 24 years old, without any bigger contacts in the soccer market, sure i played myself and was pretty good, but my competitors played the national team and is know by the whole country(sweden) so every good player choose them before me. And even if somehow a player choosed me its hard for me to get contact with the right people in the club im trying to sell him to.
Why dont i just give up already? Cause when reading this forum people go thru some serious hard work and push against some big F*cking walls to then end like millionaires. And i dont feel like i have pushed it hard enough, i still have some players i havent contacted even if they are going to say no to me i havent tried and that bugs me.
So is this fast lane or slow lane? Should i just forget about it and find other ways to go? Problems with this job is that you need some serious contacts to help you and takes some money to travel and scout players!
