Hello all,

I'm a current 18 year old going into my first year of college next year. Like MJ, ever since I was younger I was obsessed with the idea of being financially free. I tried everything from dropshipping to an amazon wholesale business and yes, I admit to falling for one of those dumb guru courses.

I eventually stumbled across The Millionaire Fastlane last year and was blown out of my mind. It made me come to realize that I have been approaching the idea all wrong, and as an Amazon wholesale business violates the Control Aspect of CENTS, it resulted in me discontinuing that hustle.

I'm from a family that expects me to go to college, so I still plan to continue onto college while trying to find the solution to a problem I can help fix. I would love to get any helpful tips on how to take the hardest first step.

One of the best ways to achieve financial freedom is to start a business. You don't even have to spend any money to get started, you could make anything that makes passive income such as creating a Youtube channel (requires frequent posts, but still is a great start). You could create a video game, write a book - could be anything, just remember that it's your users/clients that have to like your products. You could make a Youtube channel about something that you enjoy, but if there's no audience for it won't get any views; However if you are able to create something that both you and your viewers like that's great. Research what seems to be most watched out there. Are they Vlogs? Car videos? This way you'll see people's preferences and be able to build a quick fanbase. Whatever you choose to do, it still may take a few months to build up into something but the key is to have commitment. Have a goal in mind. If done properly, you'll be earning money even while your in collage!

Welcome aboard.

so I still plan to continue onto college while trying to find the solution to a problem I can help fix.

Doesn't even need to be a problem, just incremental value executed better than average.

As @Andy Black likes to say, "Help people, get paid. Help more people, get paid more."

I appreciate the kind responses! I'll keep the idea of adding value into other's lives in my mind.

Starting a youtube channel has always been quite daunting to me simply due to the pure oversaturation of the market. I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses. It's just that I know everyone and their mothers have once in their life tried getting into the youtube bubble.

Currently training my eye for spotting opportunities.

"Help Millions. Make Millions."

I hope to develop the skills my skills in helping.
