The majority of Angie's List's revenue--about 62%--comes from its business advertising. In the first nine months of the year, revenue rose 46% to $62.6 million, with both membership and service provider revenue increasing, compared with the same period of 2010. The company's net loss doubled to $43 million as it ramped up marketing and other operating expenses.
They have almost one MILLION members that pay $13.75 per MONTH to use their service. But isn't ServiceMagic the SAME THING for FREE? Why do a million people pay to use Angie's List?
