can a forum aimed at teens be profitable

I have an idea I have been kicking around for a couple of years. It is based at teens and I want to build a forum that they would use. I think I could get 200-300 users just by word of mouth in my school that I work at(1200 kids enrolled) Might be borderline "unethical" to "guide" my students to the site but it will not contain porno, vulgarity, etc. If I can get them to tell students from other schools in my district to participate it might be a solid concept. Then I would expand it to other districts.

The plan would be to:
secure the domain name (already know what it will be)
Find a simple template for a forum. It would need a home page and at least 10 sub forums for each school middle school and high school.
Find a server to host it

The content could be directed by the audience.

How do I make it a profitable site without charging a membership fee? The kids will have no way to purchase a membership so it has to remain free for them. It may be a lost cause as kids have disposable income but no way to spend it on the internet.
