Millionaire Blueprints is awesome, minus all the MLM junk.

Fastlane Stuff
Millionaire Blueprints (MINUS all the MLM junk, usually 2 good stories in each.)
Business 2.0
Fortune Small Business
Forbes
Website Magazine

Slowlane Stuff
Money Magazine

I'm not a big fan of Entrepreneur or Inc -- they seem to be focused on low-rent type concepts: MLM, buying carpet cleaning franchises, etc. Maybe that has changed in recent years as I stopped reading them years ago.

Business 2.0 seems to be in touch with people on the frontlines of innovation.

Great topic ... accelerator hit (speed+++)

I read about 20+ different business magazines in a few different languages every month. My two favorites are:

www.Forbes.com

www.Inc.com

Inc is very good, but you are right about Entrepreneur. They focus on very small businesses.

Initially I thought I was going to like Millionaire Blueprints, but I don't like that magazine at all. It is geared towards thinking very small, and of course there is way too much MLM stuff in there.

Yay...replies galore! I'm probably gonna get a subscription to one or two of these. I'm also looking for a RE Investing magazine. Any good ones out there?

Business 2.0, Harvard Business Review, Conde Nast Portfolio (my second issue just came, I liked the first one), Bloomberg Markets, & The Economist -- those are my favorites. Forbes, Fortune, and Fortune Small Business are good too. Magazines I dislike: BusinessWeek.

I agree :iagree: with many of the above. I got away from entrepreneur.
they do a lot on ebay stuff and the small service stuff any shmo can
start.

millionaire blueprints can be good. they do a lot on internet marketers,
network marketers, and motivation speakers, and stuff. like MJ said there
are usually two good stories in each issue.

i will buy a magazine based on articles that i may want to read

Anyone know of any good RE investing magazines?

no, but if you are interested in apt. buildings Steve O style, Vollucci publishes a quarterly "newsletter" (more like a list) about what economic stage various metro areas are in.

I think that's something I'll consider down the road when I'm closer to being ready to purchase. For now, I'll look for other alternatives.

The Futurist - great but a little out of reach sometimes i.e. more global, social issues, long term economic trend forecasts.

Yes. It also includes property presentations held from time to time in southern CA. Been to a few of those as well.

It is a good newsletter if you don't have the time to do your own....
or decide to trust his analysis of various markets ...

They are "behind the times" ... no web site.
Finally just recently went to emailing the newsletter rather than snail mail! lol

Ditto.

But, I enjoy reading Sunday NY Times Biz section though... has some pretty good insightful info pertaining to the dynamics of the economy. I credit it for turning me onto a couple of good ideas.

Have been searching for a real estate investing magazine for years - yet to find one. Someone really should start one :)

For magazines, I like the following:

Fortune Small Business
Success Magazine

Online, I tend to check CNN - Real Esate section (under Business) on almost a daily basis. Some of their articles are worthwhile - some not - but it keeps you in touch with the overall feel of the market.

Thanks to your advice I will NOT subscribe to Money magazine. I just got an "special invitation" to subscribe for $10. You guys just saved me ten bucks plus the potential time wasted reading slow lane material.

I first started off with Money Magazine to get a basic understandign of money itself. I then moved on to Business Week, the Economist, Forbes, Fortune, Wall Street Journal, and Black Enterprise.

Ha Ha -- I call Money a "Middle-Class Rag" - great discussions on mutual funds, 401K's, jobs, making your primary residence your "nest egg" ... :smx4:
