Hey guys so it's been forever since i've been in this forum. Basically i remember MJ DeMarco saying that people wants to be an entrepreneurs, but don't have a compelling "why". For awhile I wanted to be an entrepreneur but never had a right drive, until I got a vocational job. This job I have is mostly janitorial and some landscaping, which is seniority wise. In landscaping theres 4 crews, 1 job coach and 4 workers. Well I quickly became a landscaper and was in love with it. For awhile, everything was going good, I was close to my coworkers and we have very good sites(or landscaping contracts). We had 2 managers, one was a good leader always interacting with us and make sure the management was satisfied. The other who has a higher position was an insecure fat a**hole of a manager. The good manager was getting sick and tired with this jabba the hutt and found a new job. He left last August and ever since he left, we lost 6 "sites", it's tense, and that manager would do anything to rat out someone instead of helping out. He made this place into a toxic shithole. But I was blinded by my passion of doing landscaping. But one day 2 job coaches got fired and I was sent back to janitorial work. When I was doing work downtown I saw a site we have being worked on by other landscapers and that got me infuriated, I told my landscaping groupchats about it and said we lost the site. That infuriated me even more. Though that wasn't enough, last Friday a few workers were sent to landscaping except me which Infuriated me even more. I had my "F*ck that" moment.
Landscaping is my purpose, and dream and it was taken away from me. Like I'm not gonna beg my a$$ to go back there, so I decided buy tools, save money to get a trailer and a shed. My ideas so far is to have a shed to put my tools, a trailer, start doing D2D, go to the city and see any houses to clean up. I don't have a detailed plan but my goal is to find atleast 1 contract, 1 sale or anything to get the ball rolling. I'm planning to also go find another job to see my competition, and also see the reviews to see what I can do differently. Maybe I have true "F*ck that" moment, maybe not but I'm gonna do anything to make sure that I'll do anything to succeed. I'm currently and going back to the book again, and learn any businesses
Edit: in case my reason isn't compelling, on Friday while doing janitorial, I convinced myself I'm a loser and in order to avoid being a loser is to keep building it. I'm doing this now for my parents, they're not gonna be here forever, we grew up poor and I want to make sure to make enough to see them comfortable while old.
