We're getting good traction on Facebook for house cleaning, spending $40 per day. We're getting about 7 clients per week. The difficulty is that each one of them has a custom job. And scheduling requires them to be at home (or at least they prefer it). Invoicing has to be done after the fact. Because if we try and estimate over the phone and it turns out differently, they get upset.

I'm thinking lawn care would be a good project to test since the cleaning business is so in demand. I've never had a business like that before where it just worked from the start. Hopefully lawn care will be the same. I hear the trick there is to keep route density high. That leans me towards bandit signs, but I don't know how effective they are at getting serious inquiries.

What I do know is Facebook. We charge $99 Canadian for a 3 hour new customer clean ($50/hr thereafter). We learned not to try charge it on the landing page. The dropout rate was super high doing it that way. Instead, we let them request a phone call. They hear a live human on the phone and schedule from there. That way, we never go to the house without getting paid, Probably 8/10 requests turnes into a booked job.

If I run lawn care on Facebook, I'll probably do something like a $30 first time mow (another foot in the door). Then sign them up for recurring after that. It'll probably be more challenging to send labor out, they might be less inclined to go out for $25. Maybe I'll just pay $50 and take the loss on the front end. I think mowing is more flexible on the schedule. And also easier to get onto recurring billing. But I guess we'll see.

Anyways, what do you guys think? If you had to choose one, would you do Bandit signs or Facebook ads? I think I'll choose only one due to budget, at least to begin with.
