Audio Watermarking - Concept Feedback

Just wanted to see what some users think about this idea. Essentially, it's like Google Drive or Dropbox, but specifically designed for sharing audiobooks, music, and podcasts among professionals/teams that are meant to be working on it. Each uploaded file is watermarked uniquely for each user.

Process overview:

1. User Onboarding:
   • User completes payment and registration.
2. Project Setup:
   • User creates a new folder/project and uploads the desired .mp3 or .wav file for sharing.
3. Sharing and Permissions:
   • User invites another person to access either a specific file or the entire project.
   • User assigns permissions, such as:
     • Whether the invitee can download the file.
     • Whether the invitee can only listen to the file.
     • Whether the invitee can grant permissions to others and re-share the file.
   • Example: An artist or podcaster sharing content with their label, team, or friends before official release.
4. Watermark Customization:
   • User can adjust the opacity of the watermark and its prominence in the audio. (I wonder if it's possible to have an unnoticeable watermark?)
   • Once shared, the audio file includes a unique, generated watermark.
5. Additional Sharing:
   • If permissions allow the invitee to further share or invite others, a unique watermark is generated for each new invitee.
6. Leak Identification:
   • In the event of a leak, the user can upload the leaked audio to trace which specific watermark was assigned to the culprit.
7. Legal Actions:
   • Users can definitively prove a certain user leaked this audio. Initiate legal proceedings or remove the offending party from the project/team.

What do you guys think? I dig it, looking for a bit of validation from people here before creating a quick landing page with a waitlist to see if the market would be interested in this tool. Thus far, it's not apparent if this already exists, I think it's niche enough that Google/Dropbox wouldn't implement this functionality of watermarking. Other audio watermarking options exist but are software based and requires some know-how. Other options exist that place a watermark on top of the audio, but no way to really track it or know who had access other than keeping tabs yourself which is impossible once sent out.
