My laptop won't detect my headset properly.
In order to have audio recorded/detected, I need to play with the sound interface on my headset, where the wiring is.
And even then the sound is all choppy and unreliable.

However when I use the headset on my cell phones, I can record and be heard perfectly fine with no manipulating of the headset at all.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled audio drivers on my laptop thinking that might be the issue.

Any tech people on here who can offer a solution?

Thanks

Have you tried using your headset on a different computer? If yes, then there might be an issue with the headset ports on your computer. How many wired cables does your current headset have? One or two(one for the sound, other for the microphone)?

It's most likely a problem with the ports as they're not detecting the sound waves properly.

Don't have another computer around.

The headset is a wireless powerbeats, and it connects completely through bluetooth.

My thoughts are that there is something wrong with my laptop, but for now I'm using a backup pair of wired/plug-in earphones.

Thanks.

Oh ok. I thought you meant the wired ones . If that's the case, then there's something wrong with the audio output on your computer.
