[Attendee] How to be prepared for Marketing Workshop

I'm attending a marketing workshop named FLOW, which is scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India on March 14 and 15, 2019.

This is a first experience in my life, and hence would like to have some advice from people who have experience attending/organising/addressing at such programs.

The organisers have shared some basic DO's and DONT's, as quoted below. If you please share your advice based on your experiences, it would be great. I'm open for all kinds of advice.

Dear Kshatriya,

Thank you for registering to be part of the inaugural edition of Star FLOW – The Change Festival, an initiative by the Times of India. With the festival now just a few days away, we’d like to share some points for you to keep in mind:

Orientation for guests coming to Delhi/to the venue- Taj Palace Hotel:

• At the turn of the season, guests flying in to Delhi will find the city close to its best weather. With temperature ranging between balmy 12 and 25 degrees, you don’t need to pack your woollens for this trip.
• If you are coming from Gurgaon or the airport, you will find your travel time reduced by 15 minutes thanks to the brand-new flyover at Dhaula Kuan.
• Entry to the event venue will be via the Taj Palace gate on S.P. Marg and not the entry via the main lobby.

Join the Star FLOW action:

• Entry on both March 14th and 15th will open at 9 am sharp. Festival inauguration will take place at 9:45 am, followed by the first session at 10 am. Make sure you are on time to catch every bit of the action.
• On entering, you are required to present the registration confirmation mail you received at the welcome desk. We request that you keep the delegate badge you receive, on throughout the festival.
• Walk into the Durbar Hall and join the sessions. The agenda of the festival can be viewed at https://www.flowfest.in/schedule.php.

Dress Code:

• The dress code for the sessions through the 2 days will be Smart Casuals (much as we would like you to relax, shorts, T-shirts and slippers to be skipped please).

Between sessions:

• If you’d like to grab a cup of coffee between sessions, there are counters operating through the day at the Shah Jehan Hall. Alternately, you could grab a snack at the Raja Bagh too.
• We are sure that you will make the most of the lunch break by catching up with peers and old friends, over a delectable Taj spread.

Workshops:

• There are exciting workshops too, being conducted in the Mumtaz Mahal Hall. Seats are limited – be sure to grab a spot at the workshop of your choice.
• If you are interested in participating in the ‘Marketing Gamification in Practice’ workshop by Octalysis Group, do remember to carry your laptop with you.

Enjoy the evenings:

• Post 6 pm on both days, you are invited to relax and join us for cocktails and dinner.
• We also have an entertaining evening planned for you on the 14th, which we hope you enjoy.
• We need to adhere to the law of the land, hence student delegates will not be served alcoholic beverages.
