I’ve been lurking on the Fastlane Forum for a while, but this is my first post. I’m 24, based in Dubai, with a degree in mechanical engineering. For the past 3.5 years, I’ve worked in management and strategy consulting. Although the job provided a great salary and stability, I recently left it as my first step toward pursuing something more aligned with my values.
I’ve always felt that the traditional career path wasn’t for me, and reading The Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted helped fortify this belief. These books didn’t just inspire me—they gave me the push I needed to take action.
I’ve had what most would consider the best possible “Scripted” life: receiving a significant paycheck for the past two years, living comfortably, and contributing to my family’s household. Despite this, I’ve realized that it’s not the life I want. I may not have had my FTE moment yet, but I know that staying in the Scripted life isn’t for me.
I’m eager to connect with the community, learn from others, help others where I can, and figure out how to provide scalable value. I’m committed to this journey and excited to see where it leads.
I’ve been dedicating time to personal development by figuring out what skills I need to learn, reading books on entrepreneurship and self-help, and focusing on physical activities to stay mentally and physically fit. However, I’m not quite sure where I can provide value, and this is why I’m reaching out. My goal is to find a way to contribute to a community or a market in a scalable way, not just to make money, but to also feel fulfilled by the value I provide to others.
