Anyone know about copyright and youtube

Theoretically if I used images from a website that I dont have permission to on YouTube what could be the consqequences , videos strikes down due to copyright or having to refile or just channel banned .The reason im even discussing this is as the site is really small( I dont know how copyright works ) but the images aren't Copyrighted , also the likelihood of this site finding me using the images is extremely minuscule . YouTube's content system is automated so it's likely they will find you.

There are also law firms whose full-time job is to enforce copyright on things like images and videos.

On the flip side there are plenty of people and channels who get away with copyright infringement every day.

To me it doesn't make any sense to infringe copyright when there are dozens of free stock photo websites, or for the tiny cost of $20 you can get unlimited access to most of the premium ones.

If the images are not copyrighted, then you can use them for your thumbnails.
