hey guys, I'm new here looking to network. I have a gourmet organic hot dipping sauce and trying to break into the condiments industry and capture < 3% of the 160B+ industry. I'm looking to network with people who have experience / know how to get products like this into stores. I'm currently in the process of doing testing to have things be kosher with the FDA with a lab. I believe I have a good product name as well as domain name. I'm also looking at ways to raise capital for the start-up; I am considering doing an outright direct-public offering. Here are some cost / profit / valuation figures
Cost: 8 oz jar/lid = ~ $0.95
$0.05/per oz cost of raw material (end product)
8 oz cost (including packaging) = ~$1.90
8 oz distributor price = $4.80
8 oz wholesale price = $6.00
8 oz Jar retail price = $8.00
Comes out to a $480 per month order per location; which is $290 gross per month per location. Assuming 15% goes to S&A expenses and a 26% tax rate.. left with about $182.41 in net income.
My goal is to have all 40,000 7-11's ordering 100 jars a month per location and then selling the business to a larger competitor. In the scenario that 7-11 happens, the company should (and i say should because valuation is an art form) be worth about ~$2,542,205,959.62
