You can't fake review yourself to success.
This is demonstrably false. You absolutely can fake hype and AstroTurf your way to millions. It's just a lot riskier than having genuine hype and a solid product, because you're gambling not just on your ability to get traction, but for people to be gullible. Any time you're doing magic, there is a danger someone will see the sleight of hand. In cases like Amway or Tai Lopez, no one did.
