Long Thread. This is all my observations and based on my opinions, I could be biased, blinded my emotions and wrong.

Trust me or don't trust me, use your own intuition and experience to learn from this even if you acknowledge that I'm still wrong and doing stupid mistakes.

---------------

Lesson 1: Don't Fool Yourself, Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

I like to Procrastinate a lot.

"When I have this, When All conditions are perfect. That's when I'm doing the thing."

Spoiler: No, You're Not.

We, Humans are terrible at predicting our future emotions.

This is called 'Feasibility Bias'

Context:

I thought once having a proper machine I'd finally do my own stuff...

Learn Video Editing and Graphic Design, Upload Videos and Make Money.

If not, at least I'd enjoy and spend the whole day Playing Videogames. (I never could play the videogames I wanted... Not anymore.)

Reality hits, I'm the same guy doing the same stuff with an upgraded machine, NOTHING. (Because, Surprise, I don't even enjoy playing videogames anymore)

Do Stuff Now, Keep moving until you hit an obstacle. Overcome it, partner up, or find a workaround.

If it's still Impossible, do something else but don't let obstacles paralyze you for months or years. Motion is key.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 2: If you want to work as a Freelancer, Never Join Fiverr/Upwork and Never Work With Shitty Clients.

You're Late, Deal with it.

If you want Shitty Jobs/Clients, Join Groups/Forums (Facebook, Telegram, IM Forums).

If you want Great Jobs/High Quality Clients. Target them via Email, NEVER SPAM, Just provide value how they can do their thing Better.

Join Private Communities (like Skool, Paid Discord Servers or this Forum).

I wasted years waiting for nothing, but once I did this, I made more Money, Learned valuable stuff I never found on Courses.

Shitty Clients will Hold You Back: You will Work like a Slave, Be paid Pennies, You will Gain Stress, Anger, Boredom and the Worst, You will Learn Nothing.

Work with a Local Nail Saloon and you will damned to write boring FB Ads (even if you love doing that, you'll learn nothing, if ROI is positive, don't touch anything)

I can't speak for Millionaire people, but I bet my nuts that if you Work with someone like Patrick Bet David/MJ DeMarco/Pieter Levels/Naval Ravikant, you'll be 24/7 learning new stuff and polishing your skills because the moment one of them finds an AI tool that does your job or a guy who do the same but cheaper or same price but better, be sure that they will Fire your a$$.

They will pay you GOOD Money and you will be Forced to become Irreplaceable, it will be Stressful because you've chose to be it, even when you're think you're losing, in reality you're actually Winning.

Being Paid to Master your skills and set yourself apart from 99% of your competitors.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 3: Love it or Hate it, Luck It's an Important Factor

Bad Luck or Good Luck Will Change Your Path (Deal with it), but It's up to you if you let that luck define your identity/path.

Most lottery winners ended up worse than they were poor. Good Luck, Bad Outcome.

The same principle with bad luck. Use it to your advantage and if you can't, move on and don't take it personally.

This concept also applies to decision-making. Focus on making the right choices, even if the immediate outcomes are worse than expected. Remember, you only need one major win to achieve financial freedom.

In poker, this is known as 'Resulting' - making the mathematically correct play regardless of the actual outcome.

Successful poker players play the game of numbers and probabilities over the long term.

Context:

Yes the previous text it's easier said than done, some Failures can hurt by weeks and months.

I've found a guy who was uploading Youtube videos, his 3d animations and video editing were Exceptional, I have experience recruiting Video editors so I can easily spot who's actually good and who sucks.

However, he literally was about to quit doing videos (tons of effort, zero results)

I really enjoyed his videos, I was sure people would love and get addicted to his videos.

Because I have Experience doing the same thing that he was struggling with: Youtube Strategy and Get views.

I convinced him to not quit, and We Partnered up.

We got better results but it wasn't what he was expecting. (not the results I was expecting too but I learned how to be more patient on these things)

I applied everything and took a crucial decision from something I learned from the guy behind Youtube homepage and recommendations.

Maybe my mistake was to never trust other people's advice, and stick only to the lessons I learned by my own. Idk.

He Ghosted me and then he just said the polite version ‘I’m dropping you cause you were useless, so I’ll do another project on my own’, just to find out what he did.

He figured out and learned from me some things, one of them was 'I can partner up on my weaknesses instead of getting zero results'

He found another guy, he did exactly the SAME THING I did. and VOILA! Millions of Views.

My former partner thinks his new partner is a wizard. The other guy who doesn't have any idea is cashing and getting praised by successful on the sector by doing almost nothing (curious, I even heard bad things about how he suck on Strategy from a few experienced people on my sector that worked with him, but they still get some chances because of his recent success)

Just imagine doing the same thing in 2 universes, universe 1: Failure, Universe 2: Massive Success.

I know, Luck can be a total son of a bitch sometimes.

But that made me realize I did something wrong, forgetting all the previous results I got from my previous clients, all the millions of views people gained with my help.

But that made me better, made me improve and do stuff that otherwise I wouldn't do it.

That's how I ended up working with probably the Top Dog in my sector. Curiously enough, the next lesson I learned is from working with him.

If something similar happens to you, don't take it personal.

Call it Ego but it's true, at the end, that successful channel exists thanks to me.

If I never talked to him, he would quit. Probably he would continue doing other type of videos but nothing like the content he was pulling out, or end up editing videos for those big channels.

Who knows, but one thing is sure...

This is my butterfly effect, a simple message that ended up impacting millions.

You probably impacted millions of lives (for the better or the worse) by doing stuff, and you probably never noticed.

Do stuff, never let Luck play mind games on you, keep increasing your odds and never take it personal.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 4: Not Your Money, Until It's Your Money

Work Fast, Bill/Charge Faster.

It's smarter to lock down 85% than gamble it all for a shot at 15% more.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, especially if you can't afford the risk.

Why mess with a good thing if you can't handle the fallout? Don't Be Like Me.

Remember "The Milkmaid and Her Pail" story.

The Cure for Impostor Syndrome or Fear of Money is by losing Money and being angry at it.

Context:

I was working for a guy who's probably the top player in their sector.

Last month was good, I did my job flawless (no revisions asked)

Paid on time on Paypal. Zero Issues.

As you know, Life under Communism is different.

I can't use Paypal.

So I need to transfer my Money from Paypal to Payoneer (as I can use my funds with my international debit card)

From Paypal to Paypal, there's a Fee.

From My Paypal to Payoneer, there's another Fee.

To Maintain my Payoneer Account/Card there's a Fee.

For every transaction made in the country I'm living, I get 2 fees.

1 - Currency Conversion from USD to Local Currency
2 - 6% Fee for not using a Local/National Bank Card.

I can't use any ATM as they charge me 50% of whatever the money I withdraw from it.

If I need $20 on Cash, I'm spending $40.

Getting back to the point.

I don't have the luxury of losing that much money on Fees.

I asked this guy to change the Payment method from Paypal to Wise, one of the Platform he's using (and it's compatible with Payoneer)

He agrees, said the equivalent of 'Sure, No problem'

The problems begins.

He ignored my invoice like 2/3 times. (He's the busiest guy I ever met)

I've opted to not appearing 'Needy/Eager', so I can show other people that I'm not 'Low Status'?

Days and Weeks passed by.

He finally says 'change this and change that' minimal non important changes.

Do the thing, and he says 'Payment Sent'

I need to wait between 4-7 business days for the transaction. And... Nothing Arrives.

Zero Notifications On Payoneer (Weird)

I thought, maybe it's not possible from Wise to Payoneer anymore. (even meeting all conditions)

Payoneer Support says if not arrived, the Transaction would be returned to the initiator in 7-10 business days.

I communicated this to this guy. He stands his ground 'I've already Sent the Money'

Even if I needed that money so much, I'm not giving up a ‘contact/possible friendship’ or more work for $300.

After 1/2 weeks, he asked If I received the payment?

I said no and explained the whole situation.

I said that if that was a problem, 'Don't worry about paying me back for the job. It's on me'

I value a contact/friendship more than 300 bucks. (My phone is dead so I can't post exactly what I said)

Still No Reply, but Like Alex Hormozi said:

If you want to impress poor people, outspend them.

If you want to impress rich people, outwork them.

View: https://x.com/AlexHormozi/status/1785082434750722556

I've opted to outwork him by providing him value

Can't say how it ended as my phone died 1 month ago lol.

I gave up on my money like an idiot, learned my lesson, peace of mind, now I can move on

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lesson 5: DoomScrolling and Phone Addiction Is Real

As I said earlier... my phone died, Best thing could happen to me.

Maybe the Best thing could happen to you.

All those hours you spent on Social Media, invest them on Reading a book or learning a new skill.

Busy people still spend 3-5 hours a day on their phones by doing nothing.

What if all those hours are focused on doing something productive:

  • Exercise
  • Learning a new language
  • Learning a new Skill
  • Spending time with your grandparents or family
  • Starting a Sidehustle or Business

You already know a 5-9 job is slavery

Now it's time to realize that being a Phone Slave/Tech Zombie is way worse.

Your life will change (literally).
