I'm working on a new set of chain goals trying out GoalSumo.com (so far, so cool)
Here is my 10 year goal (so far)
Sell a business for $35,000,000 which would provide $5,000,000 for fixed asset lifestyle purchases, 30,000,000 for investment to give extremely conservative annual returns @6% of $1,800,000 per year, of which $600,000 (2%) per year in lifestyle cost and $1,200,000 (4%) nest egg growth.
Here is my problem, I'm working on the 2 to 6 year goal and I'm not sure how to calculate that measurable task without a full idea of what I want to DO to get this 35,000,000 business.
Am I doing this wrong? Do I need a business concept first? It feels wrong to focus on the end money, although the end money drives my lifestyle long term goals which are partial drivers of my effort.
Maybe my mindset still isn't correct yet
