Hey everyone, quick backstory:
I run ecommerce stores, and every time I researched competitor ads on the Meta Ad Library, I ended up screenshotting them one by one and copying text into a sheet. Hours per brand, and I still couldn't tell which ads were actually working.
So I built RipAd, a Chrome extension, just for myself. Search any brand on the Ad Library, click once, and it extracts every ad into an Excel sheet plus all images and videos in one ZIP. It also flags ads running 30+ days (brands don't keep paying for ads that don't convert).
Most tools I tried either save ads one by one or cost $49+/month. I just wanted the whole brand in a spreadsheet.
I never planned to sell it. Then I gave it to a friend who works in marketing, and after using it he told me I should put it out there so other people can use it too. A few other marketers tried it and said the same thing. So here I am, trying to turn it into a real product.
Honest numbers so far:

I'll post updates in this thread as I go, wins and mistakes.

Honest numbers so far:
- The extension has 10 users, mostly from my own network
- Paid plans were introduced just now, so $0 revenue yet. Free plan is 50 ads/week, paid plans from $14.99/month
- Who would you sell this to first: agencies, ecommerce brands or media buyers?
- Does $14.99/month feel right for something like this?
- My rule: I won't spend a single dollar on marketing until I hit 100 paying customers. How would you get there?
