It's all just one big scam. It's beyond me how people can believe guys like him.

Yea, I noticed his answers to questions were not directly answered and always very tangential and lacking the kind of detail you would expect for such a traumatic event.

You'd think the biggest moment in his life would be burned in his brain, and relived day after day ... a story told over and over.

Nope, it sounds like he's making it up as he goes, as if he is trying to remember what he said 3 months ago and not contradict himself.

What's the motive to lie?

Well heck, he got on the JR show and some level of fame. Not many people get that.

For the record, I think the first alien spacecraft to reach Earth will be von Neumann probes (self-replicating space-craft), and sometime after that - the real aliens would show up. I also think there are real UFO's being sighted, but have no idea if they are initial "un-manned" probes, or the eventual "manned" probes.

Having your name be remembered is a pretty strong motive.

You just proved your point.

You're thinking like a human which is in terms of two-dimensional, distance A to B...

I'd guess that aliens aren't "traveling" here as a human would conceive as A to B, even at warp speed, but more of some type of dimensional shifting or space worm-holing.

Also, because gravity slows time ... I'd speculate that 60 years for us is 6 days for them. For aliens, Roswell and other mass UFO sightings from the late 40's 50's was just last week for them.

My guess is that the UFO sightings (which pretty much started when we stupidly started detonating atomic bombs) are no coincidence.
R57bdc63b0ee4e1589ffefa00fb93ab6b

Watching the video without sound he doesn't show "constructing a lie" eye movement but he does show a considerable downward right looking behavior which is "having internal dialogue". Probably trying to remember his story he has told so many times. My gut says he made it up and is just repeating the story over time which is getting harder to remember. As MJ said very tragic events are burnt into memory. There was a higher than "normal" of UFO reporting's during that time frame.
"Over a period of about three weeks in October and November of 1975, several Strategic Air Command (SAC) bases in the northern tier states were placed on a high priority (Security Option 3) alert because of repeated intrusions of unidentified aircraft flying at low altitude over atomic weapons storage areas. The Commander-in-Chief of North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) sent a four-part message to NORAD units on November 11, 1975 summarizing the events: "Since 28 Oct 75 numerous reports of suspicious objects have been received at the NORAD CU; reliable military personnel at Loring AFB, Maine, Wurtsmith AFB, Michigan, Malmstrom AFB, Mt, Minot AFB, ND, and Canadian Forces Station, Falconbridge, Ontario, Canada have visually sighted suspicious objects." A teletype message to the National Military Command Center in Washington, D.C., said: "The A/C [aircraft] definitely penetrated the LAFB [Loring Air Force Base] northern perimeter and on one occasion was within 300 yards of the munitions storage area perimeter.""

I personally had a very close sighting (no abduction) Oct 1973 and there was many other sightings during that period as well that matched the behavior I saw.

I've seen exactly one UFO. I was driving my car on a very bright day, and thought someone shot a model rocket or flare up in to the sky. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something streak straight up and disappear. In hindsight, if it was a UFO, it may have gone all the way to space. The next day, the paper said there had been about 600 reports of a UFO, and nobody new what it was. I hope that wasn't the only UFO I ever see. If I ever see another one, I will go right to it and take a picture up close, it would be worth the risk of getting vaporized or an anal probe.

As someone in their 40s, it's really fascinating to see this go from fringe, indie B-level documentary movies to X-Files to being covered in serious publications and mainstream media, with serious discussions everywhere on social media and YouTube.

I've seen some of that F-18 Hornet footage as well as some older video recorder footage taken somewhere in the southwest and Mexico and I'd say I'm leaning 70/30 because I just can't explain away sh*t like that.

Plus, well, when it comes to probabilities the math seems to pencil out. Also, I'm not going to pretend I know anything, but how is this not possible?

I think the math *guarantees* there are other life-forms, for me the question is - would they be able to reach us? If speed is limited to the speed of light, and it seems likely, there is still the possibility of either shrinking space or "quantum tunneling".

The last I heard, early life-forms were on Earth at 500M years old, about the time it went from a molten death ball to something able to not immediately kill all life. That implies the life-forms were already in space where the solar system formed, or sprang out of it. Either way, unless there is something super unique about our solar system, there is probably life everywhere.

It would be a bummer if the universe was teeming with life, but it was all too far to contact each other.

Latest issue of LuckBox is all about aliens and UFOs.

Interesting that a mathematical/probability oriented magazine shows that its readers believe more than the general public that aliens exist.

I think one of the problems is that the way we *think* the universe works. Might not actually work that way. We think we are riding the wave of evolutionary intelligence and yet we can’t get out of our own way. This might be a giant paradox where life is light years away. Impossible to *see* or “get to” and yet it might be very close. But we can’t stop being know it alls as a species.

The important question, at this point, isn’t whether or not they exist... What the hell are we going to sell them to get that damn space cash?

If they are like the Martians in Well's "The War of the Worlds" we can sell them disinfectants and medicines to combat earth's viruses / bacteria, since their immune systems are most likely not prepared to face them.

Another glorious victory for big pharma!

I'm a ghost in a biological shell: cogito ergo sum. Other sorts of ghosts have always been with us. Ancient reports agree they have hierarchy(s). A hypothetical leader of such a hierarchy might decide to reintroduce his pantheon as "aliens" to a modern world, once the concept of outer space has sufficiently disseminated to replace religion with a different kind of deus ex machina. Such a project would find sympathy among those who aim to unify Earth's government, for various reasons altruistic and nefarious.

The scientific method is silent on strategies to cope with an intelligent adversary. Science cannot even defend himself against eminently visible and exquisitely mundane government bureaucrats wielding grants. His odds against a hungry immortal superintelligence with a grudge older than vertebra are nil.

This sounds like the intro to a new MMORPG game.

Watched a fairly recent JR episode where he interviewed Elon Musk. Rogan asked him about aliens (time stamp around 30min mark). Musk basically replies that he thinks it’s a waste of time to look for aliens and that if anyone would know if there were aliens it would be him, due to his spacex company.

Musk laughs off the idea, and says he hasn’t really seen any of the videos or other evidence. Musk says he spends zero time thinking about aliens.

I find that to be an Incredibly odd position. Especially given the seemingly mountains of evidence that exist such as videos, radar, photos and high level military folks that have gone on record. I can’t believe he hasn’t dissected these videos and listened to credible folks’ stories..

I don’t know, what do you all think?

If he spends zero time thinking about it, then his position is consistent. If he's not investigating, then he has no data, and therefore they don't exist.

Fair point- I guess what I mean is I find it odd that he isn’t more curious about this phenomena. If nothing else, from an engineering and physics perspective. Like, how the hell do these craft do what they do, how is this possible, why is there so much evidence type of questions..I would’ve thought he would be more intellectually curious about this, esp given his interest in space.

If Elon Musk isn't interested in aliens, and some UAP are caused by nonhuman intelligence, then those UAP are not made of any materials useful for human space flight. What do you call something that is visible and intelligent but not material?

Sounds like something an alien or someone compromised by an alien would say ;)

The egyptian piramids in school untill today they say they did it with ramps. And say there were 3000 workers and took them 20 years. We have 2,3 million blocks. They weight between 2 and 15 TON each. So they did put a block above another every 1.27 minutes. Not bad. Thinking the most powerfull machine today would take 1 hour. And it's so tight you can't put a sheet of paper between the rocks... We can't do it today.

It appears that the CIA is finally allowing coverage in the mainstream media that presents the issue as fact based. Will be interesting to see what is released in the upcoming June report to Congress. I don’t know if they are ready to say everything, but it may be the most serious treatment of the issue we’ve seen from the US government yet. I would say the COMETA report authored by military experts in France remains the most serious publication on it so far from a western government.

since the first atomic bomb went off
Much of the UFOs’ interest appears to be in humanity’s nuclear technology. One of the things being discussed more openly now is that one of the reasons that such tight secrecy was imposed more than 70 years ago is that they were routinely violating our airspace and even interfering with our nuclear technology. That would have been untenable to admit publicly in a Cold War mindset.

Well I just heard the White House press secretary say that disclosure was up to the DNI, it really doesn’t seem like it will be long now. People are going to raise hell demanding more if they hold back in the June report.

People are going to raise hell demanding more if they hold back in the June report.

Kinda like they raised hell when "10 days to slow the spread" turned into 2 years?
Kinda like they raised hell when they closed churches?
Kinda like they raised hell when they started proposing vaccine passports?

Nothing will happen with disclosure.

And no one will "raise hell", unless "hell" equates to tweets and TikTok videos.

The June report is only going to be a small slice of the truth, but the political pressure will only continue to grow until the rest comes out. We already have PACs being formed to lobby on this issue. It's only because of the political pressure that they are releasing anything at all. Now that much more attention is being paid to the issue by the general public, the evidentiary record on UFOs will be harder to suppress and it will be discussed more openly as a political issue. It will still be years until full disclosure but the train as it least leaving the station now.
