Hello fastlaners! it's been a lot of years lurking in this forum, learning from the success and failures of others and I'm very grateful that I was introduced to this community.

For many years I decided to push back an idea that I thought was worth the shot but never really pull the trigger until recently. My website is:

and I want it to be the most important Mexican Hub on the internet. We offer something that is not currently being covered (at least efficiently) in the market: a practical way to practice your Spanish skills through conversation clubs. But it's not only about that, the hub also includes private lessons where each one of the 5 teachers is well trained and offers something that is somehow difficult to find: connection with the student. We don't aim to be the typical dull teacher that only gives a lesson and that's it, we truly engage with the student to get to know him at a deeper level than any other teacher.

If you've learned a foreign language you might agree with me on this: Connection with your teacher is important because it brings motivation and ease in trasmitting your knowledge with your students because you understand their problems/struggles.

We also have a course with self-paced lessons (still in development) that aims to teach you from the basics to an intermediate B1 level.

Pleas any piece of advice / feedback / roast / constructive criticism would be very beneficial.

Do you find the website:
- user friendly?
- easy to understand?
- persuading?

Thanks in advance!

Firstly please don't take my comments to heart as design is subjective.

Personally I don't like the design as whilst it is very clean it also looks very generic and I don't feel like you care about me as a student beyond my money. I also don't connect with Mexico, nor the Spanish language by looking at your website - all I see is business, and a desire for my money - but perhaps that is just me - your engagement/conversion rate will answer that for you.

My main problem with the website is that I feel exhausted looking at it.

I would just try to sell the need, create mystery and push scarcity - you could then cut the information by half and get far more engagement.

A lot of your text is telling me why you are so good, and why your solution is different.

But why do I NEED to learn Spanish, why are your students now massive successes crushing life just because they learned from you?

Also I don't know how to feel about your stats at the bottom. 53 students to 5 teachers makes me think that if I hand over my money I won't be treated like the special student diva I believe I am.

You can present those numbers in a different way to promote scarcity. Your teachers are GOT alphas, their students are GOT successes and your users are missing out big time not being inside.

Those are my general ideas - but my sales is naturally different to your own so if it's working - keep on it.

Hi Diego !

Some ideas for the persuasion aspect.

Humans love faces. Your product is about people, and exchange.

→ You should put image(s) of people happily sharing a conversation.
Learning together in a fun way. (This is the desired outcome the user is looking for if I understand correctly.).

Also, and this is a big one I struggle with as well, I feel like your USP is not straight to the point. You have 3 slides in the hero section and each has a different angle with multiple points.

→ What is the ONE Thing that you do ? What is it that makes you special ?

Can you simplify your offer ? Your services ?

Hope it helps !

Best

I love the "sell the need, create mystery, and push scarcity" because I'm not doing any of them in the current version of the website but can update to include it in the copywriting to make it more persuasive whilst informative.

I das the idea of including the stats as an idea of "everyone is doing it, so maybe I should try it too?" people like what other people are doing because they feel part of something, kind of how tribes work. And if we show the number of active members they might e interested in joining as well. But I also believe that I can also rephrase it.

Thanks for your insight! I greatly appreciate it.

Love it! I will make sure to update the hero part and to show faces when convenient on the website. You're right, that's what I'm selling and therefore it should be the strongest part.

I had the idea before that I was selling my courses and lessons, and then I realized with a bit of meditation that I'm actually selling a safe place to learn while having fun and feeling part of a community. We're not just a school, but a hub of Spanish learning.

It definitely helps! Thanks a lot.
