Hi!

Ok, so there may be some miss-spelling since English is not my main language.

Is anyone doing dropshipping? I've had it as a full-time job for 7 months but I lost everything through Facebook Ads because I didn't know what I was doing. But now that I've studied Facebook Ads for almost a year. I'm definitely going to try again.

For people who don't know what dropshipping is: (When a customer order something from your online store. Then you'll go to your supplier and ship it directly to the customer. You don't carry any inventory)

I had a clothing store that was doing 3-4K a week. My marketing strategy was simple. I just gave Instagram influencers free products in exchange for a shoutout. And I would also tell these influencers that they should mention that there is a 10% discount code.

I love dropshipping. I finally found something that works for me and pays off! Before I discovered the e-commerce world I did businesses that did not work. Fiverr, MLM (also known as a pyramid scheme) Freelancer. I even have a blog about e-commerce/dropshipping. But I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share my blog here.

This is why my dropshipping store was successful:

  • Selling unique products:
Selling unique products will make your store stand out from most of the other online stores. If you can find a unique and problem-solving product then your conversation rate is going to be very high.

  • Branding:
If you start making sales with your store. Then go ahead and brand it. Work with big and famous influencers is the fastest and most effective way to brand a store. Not only Instagram. Do this with Youtube/TikTok/Facebook and all other social media.

  • Product description:
Product description (also known as sales copy) is very important if you want to increase buyers. When you are writing your product description, try to appeal to emotions. Because people buy with emotions.

  • Marketing to the right customers:
People say that marketing is the most important thing. I would say that marketing is an art. If you can market to the right people who are passionate or are looking for a product that can solve their problems. Then you'll win. Your product is your everything, and it's your product that's going to serve you in the future and make you a lot of money.

  • Customer support:
If you don't have customer support then your business is going to die. When you start making big money, you can hire customer supports on Upwork and Fiverr.

There probably are dropshipping users here, but you'll mostly find people who actually create value, through a productocracy.

Edit: I also thought the dropshipping era was dead?

That's probably the only reason why you're here. We're all dying here to read your free ebook with dropshipping secrets and paying you $200/month for coaching!

How do you find suppliers of unique products that are willing to dropship?
There a lot of suppliers. But for a beginner, I would recommend AliExpress. However, you'll have to warn the customers that shipping time is going to take 2-3 weeks. Most likely (if you warn them) they are going to be okay with it.

I use to work with a fulfillment center company. I ordered a bunch of products. Then shipped to the fulfillment center. And they handled the shipping for me. But it's pretty expensive. So you should do this only if you have 10+ orders a day.

Good luck!

Isn't AliExpress retail?

Lots of people on my FB car groups order from Ali for personal use
It is. But you can use it to dropship as well.

There is many suppliers such as printful/alibaba/thesilkroad.io/Dropship Direct.

Google "Dropshipping suppliers" to find more
