Hey guys! So I am an online marketer and decided to connect with likeminded individuals. To share some tactics, ideas and just to support each other :)

I got some interest and since it will not be a paid mastermind I have to do my due diligence now, to make sure I form a good - productive group :)

Question for you guys who already did this or participated. What's the best way to set it up in?
  • Forum
  • Slack chat
  • Facebook Group
It is not paid so free option would be preferable. Slack seems like an easiest and most engaging option, but I am afraid that with "chat" a lot of content will be lost and if some people are from different time zones - they will not be able to participate in the discussion.

Forums... I saw some forums to die down quite quickly when there are just a few participants. Also not sure if there is a free options.

Facebook group I don't like because there is a bunch of these... But it might be a best option may be, since most of the people might be Facebook advertisers anyway, so they are on Facebook anyway, haha :D

Give me some ideas guys! :)

First, find the people you want to mastermind with and want to mastermind with you. Then decide which platform you all will use.

I think a mastermind should be a group meeting.

I have done this over Zoom and in person - once a week.

Usually just set 2-3 hours aside and have some kind of structure

I think a limit of 4/5 people is good and like to start out with a review of the previous week from each person based on their goals - followed by plans for the next week.

Everyone should know and understand the long term goals of each member so that they are capable of providing good feedback.

After opening with the review, the unstructured conversation that follows will have the context of helping each other reach their goals.

I also think it’d be a good idea to create a list of one essential thing that each person promises to follow through on the next week and hold them accountable to it in each review.

In person will not be an option as all the guys are from differen time zone.

I am thinking of having regulat chst options plus have a video meeting once a month or so.

So facebook group looks like one of the best option. You can have live chat also.

Thanks for advice, mate. I have people. Looking for technical solutions at the moment.

Gotcha. I obviously misread your post.

There isn't a great solution and it always comes down to group preference. I've done these via Skype, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, FB, Google Hangouts back in the day.

There's always that one guy campaigning for a switch.

Of these, FB is probably the least bad. A lot like discord too, I don't.

Haha, yeh, usually I am the guy campaigning for the change :)
So yeh as I looked more into this, I think Facebook have it all - Posts can stay there and are not flooded by chat - so we can keep the value there. Can create a messenger chat for chatting. Can connect a Zoom and launch Facebook live for video conferences.

So I guess I will stick to Facebook. It was so good to me all these years, putting food on the table, so maybe it can help me in this too :)

p.s. just to clear "food on the table" comments - I am Facebook advertising guy, so that's why :)
