Hi,

I live in France. I would like to have a monthly newsletter being print and ship to my customers.
What's the best, most cost-effective way of doing so?

I was thinking to start printing and shipping it myself till I reach 50 subscribers or so, then go through professional services.
My issue is that shipping will be costly if I shipped from France to the US, Germany, etc.

I am sure some of you here have thoughts and ideas about this topic.
I was thinking: Is there a way I could leverage Amazon for this? Can their CreateSpace service be used to just print and ship n 8 to 25 page monthly newsletter?
Or are there even better web site highly specialized for that type of niche services?

Thank you

What kind of news letter are you talking about? Usually for the most part you just buy a program, create the content, and mail it. Not that difficult. Although, if it's not a magazine, news paper, or some type of informational product with quality information, it will end up in the garbage. What's the difference between quality content, advertisements, and junk mail?

Hello Nico,

No offense @Niko, but you need to start using Google. It's this brand new service where they give you answers all of your questions.

Here's what I found on page 1 of my Google search:

And to answer your question, Amazon would be a terrible option for sending a print newsletter. The cost would be too high.

Not sure I understand your reply. Not sure you understood my request.
I am talking about shipping the printed version of a paid digital newsletter that will teach French to customers.
What do you mean by "you just buy a program"?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Everything is in my initial request, not sure what to add. Do you know a good option that would meet my cost-effectiveness criteria?

Thank you your reply. I had found such services, but are you sure they are shipping WORLDWIDE? This is my issue: I don't want to have to manage one printer per country or continent. Plus have not found very clear listing of their pricing according to the destination country.
Not sure how much they would prive to ship a 20-page or so printed newsletter from the Wisconsin to Germany, nor if they have subsidiary or international partners to do so and maintain their low cost.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Everything is in my initial request, not sure what to add. Do you know a good option that would meet my cost-effectiveness criteria?

- What's, roughly, the niche your produce your content in ?
- Do you have already existing customers ?
- In which countries do you want to be able ship ?
- What's your budget per book ?
- How much volume do you expect, monthly ?
- Is the content highly graphic ? Is it pre-pressed ?
- In which format do you want to print ?
...

Createspace has been closed few months ago. It's now KDP Print!

My answers:
- Language learning
- Yes
- Everywhere, but if I had to choose 3 targets it would be the US, UK, Germany.
- No book. It's a newsletter: Between 8 to 20 US letter (A4) size pages. Plain black text on white paper. No graphics.
- Around 100 copies per months to be shipped and start with.
