Neither. I'm using the hypothetical more-so as a signifier of financial success.

A face tattoo is - for the most part - a vastly negative career decision, so I'm saying that I aim to be in a position of such financial comfort that I almost couldn't 'screw it up' if I tried.

Lowkey = Largely a contextual phrase - but in this context means to be low-profile or out of the public eye.

Hit me up = Contact me

I’m glad I asked!

In that case, I also want a Face Tattoo!

I'm not real sure money has anything to do with a face tattoo. But, in case you ever want a Face tattoo, I think it would be SO cool ( :innocent: :halo: ) to have your face tattooed in the shape of an a$$. Or, maybe a clown face. If I ever got a face tattoo, it wouldn't be just a plain ol' blue tattoo.... plenty of color for me. Unfortunately, the odds of me ever getting a face tattoo is 0 to -100 and money has nothing to do with my decision nor does making money. I have money, I could get a face tattoo if I wanted. Maybe a face tattoo on my a$$..... now that could be a possibility :)

Welcome to the forum. Interesting to see you switch up the vernacular on a dime.

I like the concept, and applaud having it as a goal, but many a people have managed to squander what should amount to generational wealth. Professional athletes come to mind... where there's a will to self destruct, there's a way.

I read an article saying a lot of sound cloud rappers got face tattoos before they were famous to make themselves unemployable, leaving themselves no choice but to succeed. The ultimate burning the bridges.

I read an article saying a lot of sound cloud rappers got face tattoos before they were famous to make themselves unemployable, leaving themselves no choice but to succeed. The ultimate burning the bridges.

The music industry will market the artists in the most appealing way, saying things like "they burned all bridges". However, the truth is that music is a commodity, and to differentiate, an artist has to find a way to stand out.

Tattooing your face is how most of those soundcloud rappers stood out.

Take 6ix9ine for example. He started out as a complete joke. People listened to him to make fun of him: his ridiculous hair, teeth, face tattoos, videos on social media... They didn't like his music, just laughed at him. Then, at some point, he hit such critical mass that he attracted a good enough producer and put out a hit or two, and suddenly people went from thinking he was a complete joke to questioning if they liked his music. Now, he's arguably top 10 in terms of rapper popularity.

The souncloud rappers started a cultural movement, and because of that, other want to be rappers started doing the same - tattooing their face for attention.

It's like Lady Gaga with her outfits, Nicki Minaj with her butt, The Weekend with his crazy hair... almost everyone has their schtick since not only do you need good music, but to be memorable (brandable).

Now what's hilarious is that all these idiots are getting face tattoos. Anyone that has rap ambitions is considering it. So, the market has changed from "standing out" to it being the norm. Idiots with no chance of a musical future are ruining their faces because they see it as a correlation to success.

I think the dumbest tattoo I've heard of so far is some no-name that got an Anne Frank tattoo.

My favorite though, is this one:

Moncler-Gamme-Bleu-Front-Row-Milan-Mens-Fashion-Week-SpringSummer-20181.jpg

Lil Peep with the "Die Young" tattoo, combined with all his music about overdosing and killing himself young... only to be followed by actually dying young and millions of fans wondering "who could've seen this happen?"

P.s. If you don't agree with my analysis, take a moment to listen to someone like Lil Xan and then question if he'd ever get any attention without face tattoos.

I’ve got no arguments with what you’ve said about getting attention and standing out but my point still stands about burning bridges, completely committing and going all in. Whether it’s a stupid idea or not or pays off for everyone or like you said they see it as correlated to success and almost an event doesn’t matter, they are still burning the bridges and going all in.

Okay but foreal, your title’s got people’s attention, but your actual intro is saying nothing.
Are you just lazily trying to sell copywriting services?
If you’re a copywriter, you could make your intro A LOT more interesting.

Lots of dudes have tried to use this forum ONLY as a platform to market themselves. Like @AndrewNC and some other douchebag who’s name I forgot. It’s really a cheap trick when this is the one place where you can talk about your biz and not have people trying to sell to you. If you wann make friends here show you have something to offer.

Yo The Game was rocking face tats long before the SoundCloud days. I think it’s just a trend now. Not really my thing but hey, who am I to judge.

Why do you offer copywriting without providing any reason at all for why one should contact you?

Would you write a product description that goes:

"Lowkey hit the 'Buy'-button if you want this thang"?

I'm just curious, since I'm sure you could build some great client relationships on here if you just took the time to sell yourself first.

Woah there. Let's go back a step.

This is an introductory post, in an introductory segment, of an entrepreneurial forum.

I was introducing myself.

I wasn't naive enough to think that declaring my status as a copywriter was going to win me the undying approval of any prospective clients.

I was simply stating my occupation in a flippant and off-hand way.

I spoke the truth; I'm looking to learn, I'm looking to make contacts, I'm looking to be part of the community—and I'm a copywriter.

I'm just making my intentions clear.

I very much agree with you aside from your implication that all these artists are on a similar level of talent (or lack thereof).

6ix 9ine did gain traction from shock value, but the guy is talented as hell, he deserves to be top 10.

I think most of the hate directed at him comes from prejudice over his physical appearance, or quite simply juvenoia.

His vocals drip with intensity to such a point that you almost can't help but be swept up in the energy of the song.

His lyrics are mindless trash; pure violence and sex. Extremely graphic, yet oddly moreish.

Take a look at this snippet from the song Billy:
Dick up in the pussy, bet that shit get gushy, gushy
She want the whole gang bussin' all in her pussy
I want the drip, drip while I get my dick licked
Lil' sick bitch, lickin' on my dick tip

Like damn. It's very nearly pornographic, spoken without a hint of humour or irony.

It's unlike anything I've heard before, there's a real animalistic vibe to his music that I personally can't get enough of.

I think he's gonna be top 10 for a good while, and production ain't got nothing to do with it.
