Worked already 10 hours today and still not a millionaire. What am I doing wrong?

Not charging enough per hour?

If you had charged 200k per hour you would have been a millionaire by lunchtime. ;)

Exciting thing about it is there actually are opportunities/problems that compensate $200k per hour.

Why as it simple?
How as it simple?
When as it simple?
Who makes it simple?
Where as it simple?

Why is it as instead of is? Money as simple?

I don't think that would change anyone's mind

I see. Now we're askting the real questions. What kind of actions gets you $200k per hour?
All I can think of are contractual deals in B2B. Sales. Could be anything, from delivering construction supplies to raw materials for manufacturing. Or marketing firm consultations. I hear that a few focus groups arranged by the latter can cost up to $20,000 PER session.

But you won't accomplish that in one sitting, or one day, for that matter. Even my simple freelancing gig took a week to materialise the green light, with interviews and all.

Don't think you can fix the amount based on an hourly charge alone, but by the deal/performance basis, that amount can be reached, especially with all the add-on support services.

Making lots of money as simple, change my mind.

How about keeping it?
There's competition. There's technological advancements. There's customer responses to marketing activities that changes like the wind direction. There's tax. Ah, tax....now that's an issue.

You could make money simply by earning some quid in one month, but the next month it drops, and the trend continues after. Cashflow and retained earnings is an issue here.

This is not an argument.

Nothing you're saying is an argument either, it's just a statement.

I don't know if you're looking for attention or just acting smart for some other reason. But maybe you should support your side of the debate with some arguments or a story if you expect a good discussion.

And yes money can be hard to make, when you live in a corrupted country that doesn't work in your favour. Or when you've grown up in a society that never teaches you anything about success, insted pushes you to be mediocre at best.

Money can be hard to make when life throws you things like health issues, or other issues that can't be easily solved. And unfortunately for some people that is reality.

It's never impossible. But not everyone and everything can be measured on the same scale. ;)

Probably can agree with the latter. Not to forget education.

I'm lucky to have some great lecturers in my business school, to clear my mind concerning topics such as biz law and accounting. But I am aware that in some countries like America, there are some schools in certain regions that actually receive lesser funding or teaching aid, due to backward state policies or socioeconomic trends. So some kids have to toss off some of the bad teaching experiences when they go to tertiary education or in the workplace.

Oddly though, this issue actually struck close to home. I had a teacher in Form 4 who was a university graduate, but just didn't know how to dumb things down for high-schoolers to comprehend chemistry and biology. We ended up getting F*cked in the two subjects until she got replaced. But the damage was done. I am sorry to say that very few of my old classmates retained enough will, passion or understanding of the STEM subjects to continue pursuing them in tertiary studies or career. Sure, they can choose other subjects or careers such as accounting and finance. But I'd want us to not be encumbered by an education, to have more choices, even if they don't wanna go Fastlane.

You stated 'corrupted country'. Where in Europe are you from? France?

You're correct that I made a statement of opinion, and am asking people to change my mind. I'm looking for them to put together a formal argument.

I'm not stating that everyone will make lots of money, specifically that making lots of money is simple. People are conflating simple with easy. This site is filled with simple patterns to follow.

I didn't realize that holding people to a standard of argumentation was landfill. Are you insinuating that people here do not have the emotional discipline to hold an argument? I would disagree I believe there are a number of people who can think critically through this.

An easy way to make lots of money is with scale. Not many people will pay for a service that is $200k an hour. But if you have 1000 customers paying $100/hour, now you're making $200k/hour gross.
Absolutely Jay!

Where’s the argument? You didn’t even present your side. Just one sentence?

Startup Steve’s post is dumb, change my mind.
