I have seen a lot of new people take the brave first step and join the forum. :great: They post an intro and a couple of questions and disappear. Some may be intimidated by the senior members of the forum, only by impression, not directly. Some may just not know what to do next. This thread is about how to help a newbie merge into the fastlane.
Of course the first thing is to register and join. The next step is to post an introduction in the "Introductions/Networking" forum. It helps us to get to know you if you post the intro. Most of us already have a lot of history posted here that you can read about but we don't know you.
IMHO the next step is the most crucial to your future success. SHARE INFORMATION. I'm not talking about pimping yours or your friends business. I'm talking real experience. You have life experiences. Share what worked, what didn't work, what you learned, what you like, what you don't care for. You would be amazed at the feedback you get.
You may think that because you are new that you have nothing to contribute. That is so far from the truth. You just may have to key to someone else's problem. You may have an opinion about a negative situation and post it here and we help you see the positive side of it. Not one single person here has all the answers. Please, do not allow your thoughts to belittle yourself to the point that you feel that you cannot contribute.
If you joined here you have decided to make changes in your life. Don't let the moss grow on you, be a rolling stone. Keep on moving. Ask questions, add experiences, learn, grow, do.:Welcome:
Anyone else have anything to add to encourage the new members?
