Hello,

I inhaled the Millionaire Fast-lane 2 weeks ago, and last week and this week I have been indulging in the delights of Unscripted .

My name is Tom, I'm a 33 year old Brit living in Dublin and I currently work as producer for Activision - working on those games that a lot of people are looking forward to over the next few months. Since 18, I've worked in games, and I've stayed there due to the fact that it allows me to spend my time with like minded individuals - nerds who i can talk comic books with and play board games at lunch time!

After reading the books, I realized, I don't want to do this anymore. I want to escape the rat race and live unscripted . I have a couple of ideas in the back of my head that I would like to throw the distance, but I have some many questions in my head about the specifics of creating my ideas.

Please don't mistake this for asking for handouts of information - MJs books have already done a wonderful job of instilling in me the idea that I need and want to be in control of my car on the fastlane.

I have an idea for a website that I'd like to get started. If anyone could point me in the direction of any great books I should be reading to help me, or any general advice, I'd be very willing to listen.

If you've any more questions - or want to talk about the latest Deadpool movie ;) say hi! MOre than anything, I just wanted to thank MJ and say thankyou to this wonderful community as some of the posts I've read already are extremely useful!

For web dev, books aren't usually the place to go, but the internet. The information is much more recent and current.

Welcome aboard Tom!

I will do my best to prop up Blops 4 before I leave ;)
Thankyou for the suggestions on codeacademy.

I decided to invest in the Fox Web Design School so will see how that goes!

Curious - did you join the Fox Web Design School so that you could learn to create your own website, or so that you could begin a web design agency? Both?

Your story reminds me of thread by @Vick

I will certainly have a look, thanks!

It was a bit of both honestly. The core idea I have at the moment is a website - helped by reading TMFL. It's something I want to explore doing myself and I thought that following Fox's model, might be a good way to suppliment my income to do it.
