After reading the best life changing book TMF , I've made the decision to become a millionaire and travel the world in the process.

I'm a young guy (19 yrs) but I know that my perfect lifestyle would be to make money around the world, I know some coding and web design and I'm learning copywriting.

I think making money while travelling is the ultimate lifestyle to have FREEDOM.

What do you think about it ? Is there anyone here that achieved this goal before his 30's?

Hey Vinn,

So I am not a millionaire but I make a solid six figures per year since I got started working online. Over the last few years, I visited about 2 dozen countries with extended time in Colombia, Malta, Georgia, Mexico, and Ukraine. My main income is through web design and also teaching web design. The first year that was 95% web design but my school has grown so it's more even now.

If you got any questions let me know. It's something you can pick up in a few months and master within a year.

Start with doing the work! You are talking about the desired results without talking about how to get there. There's nothing instant in the world. What's your plan? What are you going to give? How are you going to earn that freedom?

How much does one need to have in income from fastlane business , so that he can start travelling. Considering that he only needs a laptop and internet connection for the business to run.

For a normal lifestyle.

It depends on where you want to go, how you want to live and how long you plan to stay. We have people here in Alaska who live off grid for very little. They do subsistence living -- but they work very hard to maintain their lifestyle. Do you want electricity? Do you want to grow or forage for your food? Here, the big deal is cutting firewood all summer for the next winter.

I know some coding and web design and I'm learning copywriting.

I like your ambition. Your plan, however, not so much.

Contrary to popular belief, coding, web design and copywriting is not the surefire path to millions. I doubt these activities are even a high probability. They aren't a business, they are a job.

While I probably know over 100 millionaires, I don't know a single one that has made their millions by freelancing their efforts building websites and writing ad copy.

Thanks Fox!

It seems like the same path I'd like to follow!

Where should I start? I have some basic skills but still don't know where to get jobs online.

How do you think these online skills could help you to become a millionaire in the long term?

I'll paraphrase something MJ has said: to make millions, you have to serve millions with real value.

If you want to live overseas, teach English. Or you could live in a country like India quite comfortably for a couple hundred bucks a month.

Yes, you need to "hustle" and make a living. Yes, you can build an online business.

The reality of running a business day to day may come as a total shock to you. It's work -- usually 60 to 70 hours per week, for years at a stretch.

Passive investments are a whole another field. And that's where your investment money goes that you make from the business(es). It too is WORK, coupled with LOTS of education.

Most have to make their fortune 3 times in their lifetime. They lose the first two fortunes to inexperience, bad luck and/or bad decisions. Even "trust babies" aren't born knowing how to handle success and money.

Money is hard to make and easy to loose. I lost a half a million in 3 days during the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles. The rioters burned down our commercial buildings. Did you know that fire insurance doesn't work during civil unrest, but the bank with the mortgage still wants their money? I learned the hard way...

There are no short cuts in this life. Those "overnight success stories" worked their asses off to get there, day after day, week after week and year after year -- while their friends were out having a "good time".

You have two main sides to being successful with this:
- learning how to build a website that will get a client results
- learning how to sell your services

You need both or you won't get far. You should dedicate half your time learning skills like design, copywriting, sales systems, branding etc. And the other half learning how to sell.

There are dozens of great threads on this forum to teach you all these skills. I got a YT channel in my description will some good content also. Its linked below this post.

@vinn

You don't have to be a millionaire to travel the world. I am currently traveling the world, and not a millionaire. I travel quite comfortably, i.e no hostel dwelling, meal skipping type movements.

My advice is, if you want to make enough money to get around, then offer your coding skills for hire.
HOWEVER, if you want to become a millionaire as stated, then you have to put those coding skills into building something really useful.

Something people will wonder how they survived without it before. Think Google.

I'm 24 and live abroad. I could easily travel around if I had the desire.

I do SEO consulting for one client, do content writing for a few clients, and have some affiliate websites (that make no money, yet). All this was setup within the past 5 months (as in I had no clue what I was doing 5 months ago) and started getting big the past two months. I increased my rates and still turn down work!

My plan is to start a real business, find a wife, and start a family when I eventually move back home.

You don't need millions to travel the world.

If you're a native English speaker, then you can get on Upwork and easily find work writing SEO content. Once you get enough ratings you can move onto doing actual SEO work. From there you can set up your own affiliate marketing or get bigger SEO clients.

You can go from $0 to about $1500-$2500 fairly fast if you're good and stay on point. If you fail at this, then you probably don't (currently) have the discipline to be a millionaire. This stuff isn't really that hard.

I came out of the web design game a couple of years ago.

I fell in love with the idea of making £10K sales and while I did, people that pay that kind of money (in my experience anyway) want your soul. Even selling £10K websites, I never really made any money once I factored in my time and other expenses. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I didn't bother to correct it as things had gone too far and I wanted out.

I knew I was good at web design because my clients always saw big jumps in conversions, turnover and profit - sometimes in the millions.

So I'm currently on the journey of making websites for me, that earn ME that kind of money.

There's real value in websites - when you own them!

So my advice to you is to build a website that you own, you control and you make money from. Getting a new website off the ground might be slog and you might not make anything for a while but when you get it right, growth is not only exponential is can be 95% passive.

Less talk. More action.

Make $1.

This was my first thought as well. "I've decided to become a millionaire and travel the world" is easy. Earning the first $1 means something.
