Everyone ready to have an explosive 2018?

I feel 4 steps behind like I'm in 2014...

Just like @JackEdwards with the job he had in the late 80's/90's. 29, no career, no business, a shitty job that BARELY makes end meat, and life seems like a dark tunnel with no possibility of light. MJ said knowing is half the battle, and even though I understand fastlane principles, my execution has been worse than letting a 2 year old change the oil on a Ferrari.

Last year I started a small side business that made around to $500-600/month, but it violated what MJ Explained in unscripted (it was a trend, and profits as of today have dwindled/become commoditized). I've been having a hard time find another need.

I know I've screwed up and in a rut. I guess what I'm looking for is just help to get in the right direction. The information on this forum has been incredible, and I'm glad to be in a environment that supports entrepreneurship. It's just hard to see things clearly when you wake up to bills on bills.

Thanks in advance to any advice, suggestions, kick in the a$$, etc.

It's like a motivation group. It gives a lot of power, people share ideas, books or just write how a great day they made.
You can find a lot of information online about that.

Mastermind group - Wikipedia

You think you are making not a lot of money? Is english your native language?

Mastermind is smaller. You could give english lessons - like conversations. Per internet and find people in Europe ( in Poland too).

So insteand making 500-600 $.
You could make:

1. lesson - 10 - 20 $ (15$)
2. 15$ x 8 lessons = 120 $
3. 120 $ x 25 days in month = 3000 $

I think it's better than 600 $ :) Let me know what you think!

Only conversations - you can talk about weather or anything!:)

The first step is usually the hardest... just start doing something. Gain some momentum and go from there.

It's really that simple. Just do it.

I know right. It just feels hard going after a need i think will provide meaningful and impactful value.

You don't have to hit a home run on your first swing. Often times, you will go down a path and it will turn into something different then what you intended. You won't know until you start...

Forget about the need and do SOMETHING. For example, do copywriting or programming on Fiverr or Toptal.

Why should you do something now? The more involved you are in life and business, the more likely you'll find a problem that needs to be solved.

Why should you never let yourself fall into this type of rut again? Not much good comes from being passive. Passive people are the ones that, at 80 years old, recount that the highlight of their life was that one flight they took to St. Louis to see "the big city." Or the highlight was retiring with a full pension at 70 and making it down to Florida once or twice in their seventies.

I suspect you want much more for yourself. So now it's time to get up and move fast.

This is true. I'm not afraid to swing at the plate, its just I feel scatterbrained at the moment on which way to take?

See before my trend business last year, I was doing music production for most of my 20's. I didnt get paid at first, but when I did get paid, it was very little (we're talking about a couple of grand a year), and it was becoming commoditized (anyone with a laptop could make a track). So last year, I left (I still get very little in royalties from all the work I put in),but my issue i feel is I get in field that mathematically wont lead to financial freedom.

I feel like I could crush it right now in real estate, but at the same time, I feel like I could go into business over a product as well.

In my experience it's always on blind faith, trusting the doors will open, adapting, adjusting, and problem shooting. Do the same thing the same way you get the same results. Adjust the sails, observe the current, what is your competition doing?

@LamboKing The very realization that life is not set, but createable. Everything, from "Human Interactions" to "Business" to "Intelligence" and even "Luck" are just Algorithms and Patterns you can spot, learn and adapt to. Everything can be manipulated to your own good and the people around you - nothing holds you back except your own beliefs. Even Action-Taking stems from your own beliefs, because if you realize that action-taking gives you 100% of the power and leverage needed to transform your life into your dreams, action-taking will result as a natural step.

Hope it helps. If it can't - hit me up with a PM. I'll try my best to help you with whatever you need - Brainstorming or emotional support, for example.

Before doing anything else, I would recommend Jordan Peterson's work. His lectures on YouTube are great, but especially his Future Authoring program. It will help you put your life in order and figure out a game plan for where you want to go in life. Without an aim and without a goal, you'll be forever lost, subject to the whims and demands of life.

Right now, I would head over to YouTube and start with his three episodes on the Joe Rogan show. Immerse yourself in those, and you'll get an idea of the wisdom he offers.

If you look closely, do you see a small glimmer of light in the distance, no matter how blurry, how far away, or how small?

Do you see it there?

Not really. It seems like im so far from financial freedom, but my will/faith is what keeps me going.

Its like waking up at 5, getting off around 4-5, eat and repeat, and it feels like im playing catchup just to pay the bills.

If you have the will to move forward and the drive to succeed without an light in sight...imagine how unstoppable you'll be when it appears?

Thats how life feels right about now. I feel like even though building a fastlane business will take alot of work, im willing to put in the nights, to forego the drinking pubs and twitch streams, id pick up horse poop if it gets me closer to my goal. Just starting and finding a better need has been my obstacle.

You need to understand something first, the fastlane is not a destination neither is it a goal. The fastlane is a mindset, a lifestyle, your process. It's great you know what being in the fastlane entails; stuff like building a need-based business and others.

But you need to start something that will help you build your story. It doesn't have to be a perfect business. It could be some freeancing, some side job or business. All this is just to give you the momentum.

You won't find a need or problem looking for solution if you don't engage yourself in something. You have to try things.

MJ got the idea for limos.com while on duty as a limo driver. Get up and do something. Always have this in mind, the fastlane is not a goal or something tangible. Its a process. Money comes as a result of living the fastlane.

As long as you're taking action, you will learn lots of lessons along the way. Just:

Act.
Learn
Adjust
Try again

And you'll eventually get gold which is the Money as a result of choosing to live the fastlane lifestyle.

Hope this helps.

Okay, so you now have a real estate company. What will you call it?

What does it do?

Make a phone call.

Starting a company is this easy.

Then once you have a sale, use the proceeds to incorporate.

You would have picked up a bunch of transferable skills from your first business.

Do you have a new project? If not, get to work finding one. Scour forums, ebay, amazon reviews, anywhere you can for inspiration. Look for problems you know you can solve and niches you know you can serve better than they're currently being served.

Once you find that next project you'll find your inspiration.

If you can build a business that makes 500-600 a month in a bad market then you can build an empire (eventually). Get to work and don't let failure get you down.

Thanks. Its just finding that next venture thats been hard for me. While i was doing production, i also did websites on the side as well. I was nothing like Anthony r. Was making, but it was more like $200-600 per website, and i was selling 1-2 a month (2 if i was lucky). I understand web design, studied marketing, copy, and sales. Ive read alot in my downtime, but I realized reading is just one component.

Action and actually putting the execution has been an obstacle.

@AndrewNC sent me a really good exercise i did, and in the mean time, ive come up with about 4-5 ideas, many im not sure of (based on ethics).
