Read TMF around this time 3 years ago reading on my small iPhone my senior year. Most impactful book I've ever read. Going to buy a physical copy sometime in the future.

Just finished reading it and now reading unscripted . It's started to untangle the slow indoctrination into the slowlane. There's so many things I've taken away but a few were.

* I've been action faking for years
* Ideas are everywhere as problems are everywhere
* you don't need many money to make money, many is directly proportional to the amount of value you give to people
* Never stop learning
* That time you gave up could have been one step away from success
* Process, Process, Process and more process - act, fail, learn, adjust and repeat
* Execution is king and ideas are cheap

I'm now able to spot people who are living the fastlane mindset and those that aren't. My brother is one that is.

In my new year plans for 2017 the main topic was: transform from consumer to creator. Luckily in May I found a blog, that said: the book TMF would help you with exactly this transformation. I checked out the free chapters, was happy about the content and bought the ebook. I finished it few weeks ago and am thankful for all the wisdom in it. I read a lot of get rich books, but only TMF gave me the feeling, that it is truly possible to get financial freedom by creating value without cheating or having supertalents.

Read the book. Really loved it.

I've been struggling with being a closet entrepreneur for some time. I've read tons of books and I've been a mental masturbator for some time, but something about this book was able to give me hope. I think it's the fact that it wasn't mystical and convoluted like most books I've read.

The book laid things out in a way that I was able to process in simple terms. The most important thing I got from the book was that money is simply a byproduct of providing value. Entrepreneurial ventures are simply value exchanges. If I provide $400 worth of value to the world, I will receive $400. If I provide $4M in value, I will receive $4M.

This is obviously not true 100% of the time, and I'm oversimplifying a very complex concept, but the point is that it's about what you can do for people.

I was really struggling with how I viewed money and my own entrepreneurial spirit and I really enjoyed how you didn't come across as a completely spineless douchebag in it for the money. I love that. I have never doubted ever that I will be a millionaire, I just didn't enjoy how I was viewing $$$. You made it about more than the $$$. The book resonated with me on a way deeper level than that. It was written by a man who felt he could be what he wanted to be, for men (and women) who feel the same way. I'm sure it lit a fire under the asses of many dormant souls, and I'm sure this book changed the world forever. Just think... the book is out there as long as we have books and computers. The Steve Jobs or Jeff Bezos of the year 2456 could read it, and if it resonates enough and the proper conditions for growth are there, then something beautiful will happen.

Anyways, I'm rambling.

For me, this journey is not about the money. At some point, money can't give you everything you need, emotionally. I will always have curiosity and feel the need to expand myself through my ideas and influence. The whole viewpoint of an entrepreneur being a public servant is noble and humbling.

So I guess what I got from the book is the belief that I can do what I want to do. I'm now working on the whole self-discipline part. And getting some working capital (I am pretty broke).

Thanks MJ,
whiz

Read it! One of my favorite business books ever. Really changed my mindset in terms of job vs. entrepreneur.
