It really is.

It is so easy to get lost in the distractions of life.

Just that one episode, just one hour of that video game, just one drink, just one.

And that one turned into two and that two turned into "Oh that dream? I'll do it tomorrow, I worked hard. I can rest"

One day goes by, two days go by, and all of the sudden you made no progress. Zero. And you are now older and a bit closer to your death. Huh.

From the moment you wake up you are bombarded with every single reason to no do what you are supposed to do. You get presented a chance to be a consumer, every single hour in a day.

There is the TV, there is Facebook, there is the video game, this and that, just consume, consume, consume.

And by doing that you are allowing someone else to have their dream, and yours to fall short on its a$$.

You get that small "high" but after that, you are back to square one, no progress made and feel like shit. Kinda like drug addicts, miserable all the time but when its time to get high, "OH BABY, LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN"

This just happened to me.

A friend bought me battlefield 1 for Christmas(video game)

I was like yeah I'll play just a bit, its the day after Christmas I have worked hard, I'll take the day off *spent whole day playing video games

Next day, ahh just one hour *Played for the whole day

Today lets just play a little bit, ok, opens origin, right click, uninstall, done. Opens fastlane, let's learn.

Fu*k distractions.

And that is what you have to do as well with the things that are dragging you down. Remove the from your life just as I did with this game.

Sure I can download it again but its gonna take me 3 days to download and its gonna suck up all of my internet and the trade off is not reasonable. That's why I won't download it.

POINT OF THE STORY: Chase your dreams, goals or whatever it may be. Don't get distracted!

excellent point; we face battles everyday as we continue to BATTLE during this War we call life; it can be done; constant awareness and practice and unquestioned disciplined will set us apart from the latter;

7th grade, halfway through middle school, gym class. One part gym, one part classroom.

Walls bare, wooden desks lined up in a grid in the corner with 2 chalkboards and a projector in the front.

Enter "just say no" program to drugs.

"Here's a list of substances available around you, here's how it affects people. 'Just say no!'"

We already knew these existed, but were too focused on video games, sports and just hanging out.

Final year comes up and peers are already making connections in the high school for their dealers.

Why? It's now in their focus

How about the 1 car in the empty parking lot...hitting the 1 light pole.

Why? It's in their focus to not hit the pole.

Where are they looking: At the road in front of them, or at the pole?

Focus on doing - don't focus on not doing.

"The trouble is, you think you have time" - Buddha

"If you don't make the time to work on creating the life you want, you're eventually going to be forced to spend a lot of time dealing with a life you don't want" - Kevin NGO

Stuff I remind myself everyday so I can stay away from frivolous time spending.
