what i find helps me read and digest information much easier is double spacing like what you did in your post

i have a habit of never reading anything in big blocks of text without much spacing between the sentences

@jockinbox - thanks for sharing this with us! Just downloaded it and will read it today. Will post my thoughts here after doing so. I am also hustling at the moment - so I'm curious what I can get out of this :)

Why don't you share some personal success stories of yours with us (I'm sure more people will want to read your guide if you do so)?

If you kind of know your way around just start at How to Negotiate and read Why People Sell with the Advanced Tactics. The beginning part is just for people who 0 experience. Like I said, I wrote it for my offline friends that have never bought/sold in their life

Why don't you share some personal success stories of yours with us (I'm sure more people will want to read your guide if you do so)?

Personal success with craigslist, well I haven't had a W-2 job since February so that for a lot of people is a success.

At the moment I just flip cars for fun/profit I don't need to but its so easy to make money that its hard to pass up, I have an RSS feed set up with my criteria and it takes a few minutes a day (maybe 20-30 total depending on the volume of post that day) I will make around $500-3000 per flip and I'll do 2-3 a month. So anywhere from 1k to 6k a month.
Again that's super casual & its just a side hustle for me, if you have a big enough bankroll and can buy cars everyday you can easily average at $500 a day. There's guys doing deep 6 figures flipping cars.

Once you get into cars you either need
-a dealers license or a friend with a dealers license
-ability to convince the seller to leave the title blank (may or may not work depending on where you live)

People are gonna b*ch and say that Craigslist flipping is over saturated. It is, but at the lower levels. You hardly find anyone who flips with a 10k bankroll. That's why its VITAL TO REINVEST PROFITS

I have an excel spreadsheet with all my flips that I've done since February, the beginning was 90% iPhones, then I moved on to home speaker systems, and ultimately cars.

My advice to you, is to have a daily target (say $300) and buy enough stuff everyday to make that amount. It doesn't really matter if you are able to sell the same day because the money is made when you buy not sell. Eventually if you buy something you can't resell, just put it up on eBay and write some good copy. You'll get most of your money back eBay fees suck.

Want to know a quick way to shut them up?

Each month, Craigslist averages 50 billion page views world wide. Let that sink in.....50 BILLLION PAGE VIEWS!

Cool, I live in the USA. I'm not worried about world wide facts. No problem!

60 MILLION Americans use Craigslist each month. Again, let that sink in to. 60 million people in the USA are using Craigslist each month.

The only thing CL is saturated with, is wanna be buyers that think they know what they are doing, and don't have the balls to push through to make a consistent income out of the operation.

I'll shut down the competition 9 times out of 10 by simply treating it like a biz. I provide more value, I'm respectful, I don't beat around the bush, and I'm always there when I say I'm going to be. Once your local market finds out the type of service you provide, you start to build a profitable contact list, and on going relationships with the local market.

I read way more than most people. He's still correct. Proper formatting makes something easier on the eyes, especially if there are clear dividers between paragraphs or points/ideas. If there is no change in the formatting (ie, it looks like a Notepad file) it makes it much more difficult for the human mind to process. This has been proven time and time again. Why make something that is purposely going to make your reader read slower?

I'm not even talking specifically about this ebook. But let's be clear- appreciating good formatting does not mean you don't read books often.

Thank you so much for writing this guide. It would be nice if there was a repository for such guides written by people on this forum. I'd like to read all of them, whether I decide to pursue the strategy or not.

I'd preface this by saying that I hate to be 'that guy', but that would be a lie because I rather enjoy it. Don't take this as me being an a**hole, but a friendly reminder that there are tools available so that any self starter can figure out and find what he or she desires.

Have you heard of the wonderful tool known as Google? I'll explain how it works. I typed in 'Craigslist Fastlaneforum' 'flipping fastlaneforum' into my chrome browser. Time of search? (0.35 seconds).

There are definitely more, but I think you can manage if you want to.

Estimated time to acquire and compile all of this data? About 3 minutes. Estimated amount of value? Priceless. For everything else there is m̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶c̶a̶r̶d̶ a douche like me to remind everyone that finding what you seek isn't that difficult.

I want Google to sponsor me. I own shares in 100+ companies, but not Google. Must fix that.

Best of luck if you decide to pursue this.

Yeah, well - ignore them. You have people even here on the forum who laugh about selling on Ebay. Many of my "friends", who know that I am flipping, laugh at me. They think I can't find a proper job and will become the next used electronics dealer in the suburbs. I will laugh later. When I have time for it. I am busy making money, while they are busy talking and working 9-5.

You do? That's pretty impressive! Any motivation on sharing your strategy for finding deals and actually buying these shares?

Well I only invest in Canadian equities, so that eliminates 99% of the world's stocks instantly. I just look for simple businesses that I understand and/or use.

If I don't really understand what they do, I don't invest.

That's the thing, I am not looking for anything specific. I would have never thought to myself "Gee, I want to learn how to flip things on craigslist". If I did, then yes I would use Google. I came across this guide on this post, skimmed it, and now it seems interesting to me. If there was a repository of these guides somewhere I would find more of these strategies that I never think about that would interest me.

But yeah, I know your response. "Just google 'interesting business ideas'!".

I'd preface this by saying that I hate to be 'that guy', but that would be a lie because I rather enjoy it. Don't take this as me being an a**hole, but a friendly reminder that there are tools available so that any self starter can figure out and find what he or she desires.

I just gave you a 'repository of guides'.

Every single link provided is from a different person writing about their experiences doing exactly this.

Right. You provided a bunch of links regarding flipping and craigslist in which I responded that I wasn't looking for something specific but rather a site or page compiling a series of guides on various strategies across the entrepreneurial spectrum. Don't get me wrong, the main reason for my original post was simply to praise the author on providing this guide. It was not to whine or say that information on specific topics is really hard to find (it isn't). I just wanted to add that a site providing a list of ebooks across various topics would be something that I would enjoy.

@GrumpyCat - your a legend. As I glance over past threads, it really amazes me how much time and value you have put into this category. Thanks for all the golden nuggets, and advice you share on the reg.

@Landon - Beggars can't be choosers. You should be thankful that Grumpy has already spent a little of his own personal time baby feeding you.

One thing that amazes me on this forum is how people are so damn picky. (There should be a page/website with a list of all these hustles)

What, so you don't have to spend a little bit of your precious time researching? Come on! If the information wasn't already here, that would be one thing. Use your head, and use the damn (search) tab.

If you read my last response, I said I wasn't complaining about anything. Nor am I "choosing" anything ("beggers can't be choosers"). I said if there was a collection of all these various strategies for somebody who wasn't looking for a specific topic that would be a great thing. Long ago somebody said "If there was a place where I could conveniently find a source of information on the internet through a search phrase that would be great" and boom, a search engine was developed. The information was always there for someone to find it but does that make the person asking the question lazy or the creation of the search engine for lazy/dumb people? Making the search for information more efficient can only be a good thing.

Anyway, Grumpy responded with a helpful list of resources like I was looking for. And I am thankful. Hope you're not upset anymore.

I respect you wrote this and offered it out there for us. I applaud it actually.

I didn't read it, don't have time myself.. but I remember a similar thread to this a few weeks ago.

To leave the title blank, I am pretty sure what you're doing is title jumping which is illegal in MANY states.

I know you make money doing this and it has worked for you, but I think out of respect for others who might be interested in doing this you include a section in the document that this is illegal in MANY states and might be in theirs.

Again, I haven't read the document so you might have it there already. I am not trying to shit on your hustle or your document, I am just trying to be open and honest with other people who might not know and don't want to find out the hard way 6 flips in and have all their profit tied up in legal fees when caught in their state.

Some states will let you do this UP TO X amount of cars per year. Maybe you are falling into that area there, but largely I don't think a lot of people will know this and just try to flip more than the limit ( if they have one in their state ).

Title jumping pretty much means you are avoiding paying taxes and fees if it's over the limit you are allowed.

^^ awesome for covering it.

Again, didnt want to shit on the hustle or document at all. I personally know how hard it is to find a system that works, make money at it, and then have it all taken away because of an oversight in the legal system. Been there and done that.

Just wanting others to know in case it wasn't covered.

@jockinbox How do you go about identifying mechanical problems when purchasing a car? Do you bring a mechanic with you? Do you meet in front of a repair shop? Or is mechanical problems not an issue and your just going to buy it and sell it "as is" for a profit?
