I want to start my Fastlane, but I'm stuck between two choices. Should I a) Write a book, or b) create a website?
Pros for writing a book:
- I'm fairly good at writing.
- I have a subject in mind that would sell and make an impact.
- Residual income!
Cons for writing a book:
- It takes a lot of time to write a book. (Yes, I know, process is good.)
- Extremely competitive market.
- Not sure of the amount of income this would bring?
Pros for creating a website:
- I have a GREAT idea! (Hint: It's a kind of generator)
- There is little competition in the area and I've figured out a way to one-up what little competition that already exists.
- I can see this idea being eventually bought out by somebody big, because it really is GREAT, which would mean a BIG payday in the future.
Cons for creating a website:
- I honestly have no idea how to code, so it will take a while to learn. (I know, process.)
- I also am not sure how to profit off of my idea. Adds? Affiliate links? And learn how to do those!
Time is very important to me. I want to spend it on the best option. In addition to wanting to make this entrepreneurial change, I must balance a full-time job, full-time school, being a mommy to a four month old and a toddler, and care for a husband who isn't capable of working at the moment. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
