I'm new on here so let me introduce myself. My names Usman and I'm from London.
I'm a recent graduate and have been working part time with my dad since I finished uni in june last year. I have always wanted to own my own business and not be someones employee (I'm guessing like most of you guys on here too?).
So since January this year I've been trying to decide what kind of business I'd want to go into. i am very passionate about cars and gym. I decided I would start up an executive car service company. However, I keep getting put down by various people I speak to as they tell me the competition is too great, its a market which has sunk etc.
I would like to know what you guys think on here? I realise that majority of the general public are pretty negative when it comes to starting your own business (well here in the UK they are anyway). All this thinking is getting depressing and I just need to get on with it (kind of answering my own question here lol).
All your feedback and sharing experiences will be greatly appreciated.
