If I'm honest, I don't have any heart wrenching desire to be an entrepenuer. Honestly, I've found some things in the business world to be discouraging.
Now before you label those two sentences as "where the buck stops", just sit back a moment and relax, because honesty can be refreshing when given some context.
The reason I say this is because, I try not to lie to anyone about how things really are. And with the negatives come also the positives, but not always are the positives in a rush to meet you, and so likewise, I'm not always in a rush to greet anyone with the positives.
So a couple more negatives are in store until I get to the point.
The most discouraging thing I found about biz was that it only cares about its own art. What I mean by that is, "its a sport, a craft, an art", and for this art you get PAID. Painter, swimmer, sculptor, charmer, whatever else you are, it only has ONE role, "creating product". All artists are told to become "product factories" for the good of the populus.
What I am getting at here is the false idea that
a) Entrepenuerialism is so naturally inspiring that it develops true excited passion
b) It validates and rewards artistry and quality
The truth is that it IGNORES artistry, and is initially uninspiring.
But don't worry! Because now I've put that out in the open, I can give it context.

The good part is...
Well...
People endure anyways.
I see a lot of "yay!" attitudes, circling around new gadgets and tools, and thats all good, but at the end of the day, you want to ground yourself in the realism of "what is this doing" "what is this changing?" "how does this feel, despite all the undesirable stuff?".
I must say, I'm not a convert to any inflated way of viewing business entirely because I have a brain and intend to use it. And the good thing about your spirit is, you don't need a manual before you begin, what you really need is some perspective and hopefully some people that help offer it.
At the end of the day, entrepenuerialism isn't about exciting new ideas and tools, but to me its about the genuine giving nature of people and how they will offer you a chance at getting a wider perspective than you have currently. Entrepenuerialism is understanding that no one can expand your mind for you, and entrepenuerialism is about taking a hold of the reigns, so that no one else has to do it for you.
In the end, you pull yourself out of yet another puddle of mud, and find "art" in it. However, art, is not the truth, it is a small part of the destination.

Hey guys, I'm new here and I just wanted to say hey in a way that is "me".
I'm not big on "yay buddy circle time!" interventions, I'm just a guy with a few of the right screws loose.
Don't be afraid to be honest, and shed yourself of the biz sheild that is overly emfatic attitudes towards biz.
Encouragement only goes so far.
The rest of the journey is in the dirty grind of the soul.
And there are some hard truths to be found there.

Don't be afraid to admit, you adopt what you must adopt, to get things working BETTER (not perfect, but better).
Biz is a game of admitting you might not have the best, but that you will do your best to better it by adapting to what you have to.
