I see some people around here making posts specifically for the purpose of fishing for speed. I'll admit, I did that too. But now that I have my 11 bars (which essentially means I have a 9-inch Internet peen) I couldn't care less about where my speed was at.
I do wish, however, that I had always thought that way. Oh well, ego is a powerful thing.
Either way, while I was chasing the speed I actually learned a lot. I started my first business, wrote my first sales letter, talked to my first leads, had my first two business failures (important!), and learned a lot about myself. I'm still learning as I am currently going through a little bit of a mental and emotional recession right now and more will follow.
Anyway, my point:
Read as much as you can! Don't worry about post count or speed!
The most fun thing on the forum for me, before I engaged in conversation and starting writing up a blog, was reading success stories and large advice threads (such as biophase's Ask Me About e-Commerce).
But this forum, of course, isn't really about fun (but it should be and if it isn't you should just leave). It's about learning... for everyone. Even our millionaires learn from the forum.
If you're still PARKED or at low speed and you've been here for months, years even, do NOT feel bad. It simply means you're reading more than you're posting and that's great! (Although we do expect you to elaborate on what you've learned later on and how it brought you success, haha)
The Fastlane is a process. A really long process. Like, a lifelong process if you're serious about it. (Hint: those who aren't serious about it never get anywhere). The Fastlane takes many different forms: you could run a lead generation business, run e-commerce stores, own real estate, sell urinal cakes, own stock, whatever. It doesn't matter which form you end up using but the truth is it's a long process.
You being at PARKED simply means that you're at the beginning or have yet to share what people can learn from. And that's okay. Go at your own pace: we won't mind.
