If you have an incentive to get the highest price and make the most money possible, regardless of whether:
a) Your product is in the best interest of your customer
b) You can fulfill a better product than all of your competitors
I argue that you can't be ethical.
Of course, if you get too greedy society will punish you but still...
I think the best you can do it try your best to abide by the golden rule and be fair. However, although capitalist is an imperfect system it's still preferred: "Capitalism is the best system except for all the others" - unknown
Also, giving to charities in most cases is a selfish act, unless you strategically allocate resources to the most needy/more productive areas, you're being selfish.
Not that it's relevant to this discussion but yeah I've had my fair share of success through hard work, and thought I'd say inb4 socialist etc.
Beyond food, water and shelter, you don't need anything else and it's not lucrative in most cases to do the right thing.
Also, religion clearly teaches people how to be submissive with a strong correlation. So, even seemingly "balancing" forces are inherently corrupt and teach people there's a magic man in the sky. So, there's the cold hard truth.
Someone could literally take in billions in sales and deliver a terrible quality product/service. I'm sure many of you have examples of this.
Anyone have any good ways of doing the right thing and balance this piece of success puzzle?
