I think that's what the book is about or at least mentions. People don't think they can get rich or live a live other than mediocrity unless they are an athlete, actor, etc. The fastlane shows that you can surpass mediocrity and can live the live you desire.

Good Stuff

Read the book on my Kindle although I almost skipped it as the 55 reviews on Amazon all gave it 5 stars and that smelt like some internet marketing guru telling all his followers to "go to Amazon and give me a 5 star review". But, enough of the reviews seemed genuine so I gave it a chance and I'm glad that I did. I don't think I've ever virtually highlighted more text in a book - it crystallizes a lot of what's been bothering me about the career path I'm on but have never been able to put into words. I'm thankful there's a forum to continue the discussion as I definitely didn't want the book to end!

MJ,

Finished the book...amazing. I'm going to, literally, continuously read it. Going to start over and read just a little bit everyday. Love everything about it! Already know 2 friends who bought, are reading and, subsequently, loving the book too! Great work!

Thank you for spreading the word ... it is starting to catch on and my marketing budget is being slashed! =)

Thank you for taking that risk!

The fastlane shows that you can surpass mediocrity and can live the live you desire.

Yes sir!

The Millionaire Fastlane is now my second bible, a very good read and highly recommended.

Thank you!

made some big changes in January, paid off most of my debt

Congratulations, that is a huge step that puts you ahead of most!

I've read the book. Awesome is such an understatement.

Thank you!

"Your today is yesterday’s consequences. Your yesterday laid the foundation for today. Your beliefs and the actions triggered from those beliefs have delivered you to your today, your now, and your life. If you’re not happy in your life now, it’s time to STOP and reflect on the road you’re traveling and how you got there—and then change roads."

This is what really SMACKED me in the GUT and PUNCHED me in the FACE!

It smacked me in the face too years ago!

I agree it's like Rich Dad Poor Dad, without the fluff. Really cuts the BS, isn't filled with ulterior motives, just the Truth put to paper (or digital form). Definitely has humbled me that I'm on the right track and put a fire under my behind to get things done in my business. Start producing and stop wasting time!

Didn't you say that is was Rich Dad Poor Dad on steroids? I'll take that as a compliment!

I enjoyed your book so much I'm reading it again.

Gracious.

Definitely changed my perspective on quite a few things.

Mission accomplished!

But I really devoured the last half, which was full of lots of new stuff and practical application. Interestingly enough, I find myself highlighting more the 2nd time thru than I did the first! Thanks for taking the time to put it to paper, MJ

You bet. I'm so happy I didn't give up ... you guys kept me going.

This is the first book I've read all the way through in quite some time. Really enjoyed it, and like a poster above me, I am glued to the sidewalk and I want to get off it. Great insights and explanations in the book.

Meant to post this sooner...I've read the book, loved it! So much info in there in an easy to read format couldn't put it down, loved your writing style and I felt that you've personalized the book to me. I've read so many wealth creation/business books over the years and this is truly one that continues to resonate with me even well after I read the last page. Will be re-reading it again and again!

I've not only read the book -- I've started sending copies to people I care about. I already had a plan in motion to quit my dayjob, and the book came at just the right time -- encouraging me and reminding me that I'm doing the right thing. Thanks. :)

I also picked up the book by reading the Amazon reviews.

It did seem a little fishy with 5 star reviews all around, but boy am I glad I followed through!

Great Book MJ!! Super motivational.

Fantastic Read! Completely changed my perspective on money. I knew something wasn't right, and this book was my answer. I've already recommended it to a friend and she loves it too! I'm glad you talk about a process rather than an event. I was already sick of the being a consumer, the lifestyle just seemed empty. After my Africa trip, I came back here and began getting ride of tons of my stuff that I didn't need. Began apply the 80/20 principle to my life. Then it hit me! This consumer culture is one big walking zombie fest! This book is the antithesis of that. A great wakeup call for humanity!

I just read this book in two days and it has the BEST business book I have ever read. It confirms what I was thinking for years. I especially loved how he exposed these so called financial gurus for what they really are.

I am reading the book a second time and starting to take notes. Thanks for writing it! It changed my perspective and inspired me to take action to break out of what I thought was "success" -- the Slowlane. I will make sure to teach my boys the right way!

Thank you MJ for writing this book!
Also, thanks to my good friend Paul who asked me to read this book lately.

I really liked the no BS approach and the analytical side of it too. It really bring home a couple things for me:
1) Never give up: there is a way out;
2) Apply the Rules: analyze each opportunity through these filters and you can bet on the outcome.

I will read again and again.

I read the book after a friend of mine discarded it and warned me that it was too hard to implement. I agree that it is hard to implement but I KNOW it is much harder to be poor!!

I finished reading the book last night. I have to say I enjoyed it immensely. This is the only book that I have read completely on computer. I'm grateful I decided to purchase it. I'm about halfway through my second reading if it. A lot of the concepts are familiar to many concepts I've witnessed in life. This book however manages to take a lot of sage advice throw it together comprehensively and then slaps you in the face when you realize what you should have known all along. Considering that I currently work for Walmart, many of the references to the company and how people put themselves there so they should not be complaining about their rate of pay hit home for me. Having read The Secret, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and many other self improvement books this book struck me as the most genuine. I've already noticed drastic changes in my thought patterns. I'm not sure if its the book or a combination of the book and my desire for change. Whatever the case may be, I'm excited for what the future holds.

Going to read it again to consume the stuff I didn't pick up the first time, too.

I finally read the book a few weeks ago after having it sit on my nightstand forever. It prompted me to come back to the forums and start posting again so it must be pretty good, hope there's a lot less arguing and attacking other members going on and more civil discussion.

MJ!

I read the book. It's better than EVERYTHING i've ever read on wealth creation. And I mean Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, et al.

I live in Nigeria and am sure on the Fastlane now, courtesy of you.

God bless you abundantly.

I ordered this book with reservations, also thinking it seemed to good to be true with it's 5-star rating on Amazon. I read through the entire thing in less than a day. It captivated me. I was a 100% follower of the Ramsey approach. Work hard, pay off all debt, create a cushy savings account, invest and one day you'll be able to retire. This book shined a whole new light on that theory, the light representing the flaws. In a way, it was a hard pill to swallow. But I have so much HOPE now. HOPE that I won't have to be a prisoner of the M-F 8-5 work day. HOPE that maybe one day my dream of traveling the world will actually become reality. Already it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Since reading the book I've been busy working on my 'master plan'. Thank you MJ, for opening my eyes to see what was right in front of me.

I immediately begin reading it after finishing RDPD on a recommendation from someone else.

I've just finished it and there isn't even a comparison between the two. RDPD isn't even in the same league.

Awesome stuff MJ, and i'll see you in the fastlane someday.

Hey MJ,

Holy F*****g SH*t!! THAT'S how excited I am about your book!! Thank you!! You have laid it out all very clearly and goddamn it is funny - I am on FIRE with ideas, and I have a framework to bring them to life now!! OK that's enough gushing then. I am starting 'late' - I am a recently-minted fifty year old, mortgage ("death pledge" in French), teenage daughter, dogs, land, construction 'career.' Your book kicked me in the a$$, shoved my face in the mirror, stripped away years of faulty outlooks, in short I see how I can be MUCH more useful to MANY more people than replacing Mrs. Murphy's kitchen faucet or some shit. When I finished your book there I was, out in the rain with no coat, shoveling that wet manure outta that trailer and onto the garden, where it could do some good! I used to think thirty, then forty, oh F*ck, I'm 45 still no real money, well, I wiped the windshield clean and ripped off the rearview mirror, laughing at my own myopic past views and gettin' ON with it. Thank you a hundred times for this earthquake of a book!! You will be hearing more from me!
