I was listening to a commentator a day or so ago, and he made the following observation:
. . . that got me to thinking ('cause I'm always thinking) . . .
Has the world changed, in substantial ways?
I entered the world of work in 1984-- and while interest rates were high, things were definitely growing.
How about all of you?
Were any of you in the world of work (as adults) prior to 1979?
And a last (perhaps loaded) question:
Do you think the relative "quiet" on the fastlane lately is due, in part, to everyone getting their bearings-- trying out new things to see what works-- but they hesitate to share these things, not out of propriety, but because they do not yet know if these new techniques will work and be successful?

I was listening to a commentator a day or so ago, and he made the following observation:
commentator said:This entire generation has been raised under an umbrella of prosperity. We've had low inflation, and almost constant growth for 25 years. For many, this is just "the way things are"-- it's been this way for as long as they can remember--their entire adult lives-- and they're completely shocked at the current state of the economy.
Thing is, these cycles happen. And a whole lot of adults-- almost 3 decades worth--- are now getting their first taste of what a real economic downturn is like.
. . . that got me to thinking ('cause I'm always thinking) . . .
