I was doing a thought experiment yesterday. I imagined that a Billionaire had died and reincarnated themselves into my body and situation. I imagined what they would be thinking, and how they would move forward with the situation they found themselves in (my life).
I realized they would want a tally of all my assets, income streams, and how they would leverage those to create wealth in whichever way they knew how to create wealth before. Then create some timeline goals.
Then I realized something. I don't want to be a f**ing billionaire. At what point does the drive to make money end? In the thought experiment, that's all the dude cared about and they didn't stop until I died. It wasn't fulfilling at all.
I DO want to create wealth. And I want to create wealth by helping people. But I also want create a fulfilling life. I want freedom. I want to foster great relationships with others. I did the thought experiment because I thought I could gain some valuable insight on direction, but instead I was left with a sour mouth.
Perhaps my thought experiment is wrong, particularly my view of how a Billionaire thinks and what drives them, that maybe there is more value. Would be curious to hear others thoughts on my conclusions.
