Where Did You Start, Where Are You Now, Where Do You Want To Be?

I want to hear about some stories about where people came from, where they are, where they plan to be. (I searched for a thread like this, didn’t find one if there is one though please tell me and link it.)

I’ll go first:

I started as: a low self-esteem beginning to get fat, played video games 9 hours a day and did nothing

Where I am: Starting a business, getting into fitness, finding a new entire friend group

Where I want to be: Healthy, have my own business, happy father of 3 with a wife, nice house and help my mother pay off her debts.

Where I was.
A fresh graduate with no assets and no networth. Searching for the next shiny job opportunity. Chasing leads. Hoping.

Then I decided to take charge of my fate. First I read books. That's how my course at university wired me. You act after reading. You read first and then go do your research. Then go do your coursework.

Then I began to escape my reality and action fake by learning web design, computer science, programming, copywriting and so forth.

Then I woke up and wrote a book between April and May.

Where I am.
I have completed the book. Sold over 2 dozens of copies. Still selling. Making assessment of its impact on the learners who have bought.

I still read books. Currently reading The 10x rule by Grant Cardone and Dopamine Nation.


Where I want to be.
I want every child in Uganda to excel with relative ease in the English Language and get out to face the world with confidence.

Communication is vital, crucial and in Uganda English Language is a largely used lingua franca and official language.

The ability to communicate effectively is a very important aspect of gaining confidence.
