:bolt: The most powerful performance-enhancing drug in the history of mankind :bolt:

And I'm not talking about bodybuilding.

I am talking about entrepreneurship.

Business.

Money.

What if there was a magic pill that could instantly 10x your willpower, creativity, motivation, focus, confidence, drive, happiness, willingness to take risks, ability to learn, and basically everything else that would propel you towards extraordinary levels of success in your business and life?

What if this pill also made you healthier and helped you live longer?

What if this pill also made you insanely charismatic and drew other people towards you like a magnet?

What if this pill had virtually no side effects if used responsibly?

Would you take it?

I mean... it sounds like a F*cking movie plot. Too good to be true, right?

Well, not only does this magic pill actually exist, but you are already in possession of an infinite supply that you can start taking right away.

And that magic pill is called SUCCESS.

It's called WINNING.

At first glance, this may seem like an absurd statement.

We are being taught that success is not the cause, but rather the effect of months and years of hard work.

Which is completely backwards.

You cannot be successful without being successful, much like you cannot be a swimmer without swimming, or a weightlifter without lifting weights.

Success, much like anything else in life, starts in our minds.

And I don't necessarily mean this in a mystical sense (that would be a discussion for another time), but more in a physiological/neurological way.

All human motivation boils down to one thing, and one thing only: anticipation of reward.

If you manage to trick your nervous system into believing that your desired outcome is 100% going to happen, and the reward is just around the corner, you will not be able to stop yourself from pursuing that goal, regardless of how much effort is required. As long as you keep believing that you're going to get the reward, you are going to keep pushing indefinitely.

Imagine having a hungry dog sleeping in your living room. You get a piece of freshly cooked meat and hide it behind the sofa. Before too long, the dog wakes up and senses a tiny, almost imperceptible scent. This triggers a series of cascading neurological events in the dog's brain. Dopamine has been released, and now the animal is moving - slowly at first. But as it gets closer and closer to the food and the scent becomes more powerful, the dog becomes even more excited, and so it starts to search for it even more aggressively. And when the dog finally manages to pinpoint the location of the meat, that animal is F*cking out of control: it salivates profusely and is ready to destroy the sofa if it must, in order to get the meat.

The story ends here, but what I want you to pay close attention to is the dog's level of motivation as it relates to its actions: the dog became progressively MORE motivated as it made more progress towards the reward. In a paradoxical and counterintuitive way, the more it pursued the reward, the more energy it had to pursue the reward.

Because in the dog's mind, it was already winning. It was on the path to winning.

And success creates more success.

At the deepest, most fundamental neurological level.

Billions of years of evolution through natural selection have ensured that you and the dog share a nearly identical reward circuitry.

And while you may not be so inclined to search for cooked meat around your living room (especially if you're a vegetarian), you do want something. It could be a successful business, it could be finishing college and getting a degree.

Whatever it may be, the path to staying motivated and achieving success is identical.

Small, repeated victories that will reassure your nervous system that you are on the right path and that the ultimate victory is imminent.
