Hello everyone, my name is Christian, I’m from Berlin, and I’m now 41 years old. I’ve always wanted to be successful with my own software company—as a programmer, I spent many years working as a freelancer for advertising agencies, developing Flash websites. Later on, I was involved in two startups, though I wasn’t the founder of either and never really had control. Looking back, I realize I was more of a passenger, and unfortunately, those startups never really took off. So I invested about ten years, always hoping that the big breakthrough was just around the corner.
Last year, I took a full-time job to support my family—I now have two children. I think my story probably sounds a lot like many others here. Not long ago, I came across the book “Millionaire Fastlane ” and found it very inspiring, because I recognized many of my own mistakes from the past few years in it. It helped me better understand my experiences and accept that things turned out the way they did, since I was never really in the driver’s seat. What I especially like about the book is that it’s open and honest, without laying out a rigid plan, but still offers a general roadmap.
I think it’s great to meet like-minded people here in the forum. I’m still getting familiar with everything, but I’d be really happy if some of you said hello.
