Hi everybody.

I know, the longer you build the foundation, the better the outcome. And I understand there is no list. And I understand that you shouldn't focus on money, but on solving problems. And I understand that business is a process, not an event. And I understand that the only person that can help me is myself, and probably nobody actually gonna answer to this. And if so, fine.

Even asking for help was never my thing. People don't care about others people's problems and everybody knows it. I always thought "If you want to something good, do it yourself." Because nobody else cares enough about you as much as YOU do. And even right know I've already said "I" for so many times and will say it much more and it makes me feel really bad and selfish.

I was not sure if I even should write this post, but here it is. I don't want to do nothing and wait for a miracle to happen. I want to act NOW.

BUT,

Right now I need to make 200$ in 14 days. Like ASAP.
So do you want to build a real brand and provide value or make $200 in 2 weeks? Find a problem that needs to be solved or a solution that can be improved in some way and learn skills to do it. It takes more than 14 days. It's a process, not an event. $1000 per day washing windows or mowing lawns is only possible in 1st world countries where people have a lot of disposable income. The best way for you to make money would be selling products/services to Americans. There's a thread with a step by step guide on it. Getting paid might be a problem if you're in Russia , so you might have to find some loopholes

That's when the selfishness of the market will start working in the other direction: people will throw money at you.

How do you identify problems?
To quote @Andy Black , you see what people are already spending their money on.

Pick a niche that interests you

Inspect what other businesses are already doing

Take note of all their mistakes and shortcomings

Improve the product/service

Sell

This is not going to be an overnight process. It takes months or even years of wisdom and skills. But if you have the discipline to execute the process I've just described, and constantly improve, you will eventually get there.

If you need money right away, freelancing could be a temporary solution, based on your own specific circumstances. Just make sure that the temporary solution doesn't become a permanent money trap.

Stepan said:

Mad at myself

This is also something that needs to change immediately.
The more frustration you foster within your mind, the more frustration will happen in your life.

Winning the war within is the first step towards winning the external war of business.

Being mad at the world or at yourself means that you don't understand how the world works. And when stuff breaks in their house, they're going to want somebody to fix that too.

Stepan said:

Just mad at myself for being so USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!

You have no skills because you're spending all of your time watching people telling you to build up your skills.

Matt Lee said:

So the question is: What problems do you deem worth solving with your particular skill set?

edit: if you don't have the skills, what's stopping you from learning them?

Oh wait, he just said that...

heavy_industry said:

As an entrepreneur, your full time job is going to be caring about other people's problems.

This is one of the core beliefs that needs to be turned on its head, if you want to be a successful business owner. The market is selfish. If you enter the selfish market with a selfish attitude, it will crush you and you will left empty handed.

So the solution is to approach the market with a solution for one of the many problems there are in the world.

This is also something that needs to change immediately.
The more frustration you foster within your mind, the more frustration will happen in your life.

Winning the war within is the first step towards winning the external war of business.

Being mad at the world or at yourself means that you don't understand how the world works. You are almost always living the life you deserve, mostly because it's your own creation.

Upon realizing this, you don't need to be angry at yourself, or anyone else.
All you have to do is stay calm and execute the process.

Good things will happen.

If you have electricity, internet access, are on this forum, and can understand English, you are much more privileged than you could possibly imagine.

The other half of the planet cannot say the same thing, unfortunately.

Hey @heavy_industry, see that "coincidence" that just happened? Why bother writing something that might live in his head rent-free and feed into other reasons that he can't do something? Tough love? To vent? To make him feel bad? Humor? I'm getting bad vibes from reading your responses.

That might be true. Evolutionary this statement is a fact. 99% of the population, also known as consumers, believe this statement to be a fact too. But I don't think you want to be like the 99%. In seriousness, they don't care what you want. They don't give a damn about your sob story either. They won't care much about what you think you deserve. For them, it's "me, me, me, me". What can you do to help me improve some aspects of my life, if not you're wasting my time.

They only care about themselves and that's good for people like us. (because how do you solve this equation and get people to hand us bills?)

You put their problems first then they will hand you the bill. You treat their needs so that they will treat yours. It's an equivalent exchange. You feed fine wood into a fireplace and then it will grant you warmth. It's not about altruism. Altruism is bullshit. Everyone has an agenda. Everyone has a motive. Martyrs are selfish people. They want to be seen as martyrs and possibly go to heaven or stand for something they believe to be true. (nothing wrong with that.) Just the game. Accept the rules and play.

If you want the dough and don't want to work a salary for it, you find a way to get people to hand you the dough willingly. Getting a job doesn't make you useless or a loser.

Contrary, it's a loser's mentality to think anything he does externally can make him a loser. It's all in your mind. How you do the little thing is how you do a big thing. It's all a stepping stone. If you need money, go hustle, get a job, it doesn't matter. If Fastlane is what you want, waiting tables temporarily could be the first step you need to take to get there. Your story, your circumstances, your unique path.

It takes balls to admit that you are lost. It's another matter though to go and figure out what you need to do and do it. What are you going to do? There are threads on here on how to make money(step by steps guides actually). You say you live in Russia, do people in Russia have problems a 19-year-old could solve? (yes they do.)

So the question is: What problems do you deem worth solving with your particular skill set?

edit: if you don't have the skills, what's stopping you from learning them?

Of course, you are getting bad vibes from my response.
