And what can we possibly do about it? The majority of idiots are all for "gun control". Meanwhile places like Canada have next to no gun crime.

We need city states and seasteads. Screw these massive governments. I want to live in an area that wants citizens, not an area that keeps them by force.

You are right about mexico, but at least there it should be easy enough to obtain firearms anyways if one so desires. It's pretty obvious that a large portion of their population has them anyways.
My seastead would be buying cheap a$$ Russian oil RN.

Look at this a**hole I spotted the other day. I wonder if someone should ask him how his vehicle was made, or where the electricity comes from. "Durrrrr the wall!"

I bet he was wearing a mask too, but I couldn't see from my vantage point.

When man gets too rich and powerful, he starts to think he is God and untouchable.
Life then humbles him.

I miss Vancouver. I'm driving out that way for a visit this summer. I will make no other comments on that photo.

When you get here, make sure you follow our dress code. Otherwise we don’t let people in.

In other news… I’ll just be over here:

I’m homeschooling my kid. Not in some apologetic way where I get them “into groups” to “socialize him.”

No. F*ck other people’s commie kids. F*ck their influence on my kid. F*ck the blind leading the blind.

I don’t need some blue haired F*ckface teaching my kid about why his businessman daddy is evil and how one day he might be able to grow up and get pregnant and live off of universal basic income. I don’t need PTA meeting arguments. I don’t need school board meeting throwdowns. I don’t need to try to get teachers fired. I fire them all before we even start. We will homeschool from day one.

He is the the responsibility of myself and my wife. It is our responsibility to raise him. It’s our responsibility to craft him into a productive and intelligent adult. If he doesn’t “fit in” with retarded commie kids, that’s because he will be smarter. If he doesn’t fit in with commie adults later in life, that’s fine too.

I wish there was someplace to go. I strongly believe that true entrepreneurs always find a way. I just don’t have the answer right now, and it pisses me off.

@GPM and @Kak are really fired up today... rants galore. Tell us how you really feel boys, don't hold back! :humph:

On a more serious note...

@Kak I am not sure what ticked you off on home schooling vs private. But I'll put it out there that for my kid, it's all private schooling. We know the owner of our chain daycare here (she is a very successful entrepreneur elevating daycare to a new level) and are applying for another private school soon (age wise it's time for the next level up). It's harder to get in than Harward! And it's not focused on getting your kid to be the most academically successful person to get into some fancy university later. It is focused on letting the kid develop into excellence in whatever is their thing - arts or math, no difference to me.
Most parents are influential people (business people, doctors etc.). Some became my friends already. One friend is a founder of Vega (Vega | Plant-based Nutrition), another is the largest whole sale LED lights distributor in Canada etc. I am always confused when successful people like you post the way you do about "home schooling". It feels kind of backwards to me. You have the means to go private school, why not? I could maybe understand it if you were poor and didn't have options.

Additionally, your post implies that nurture is more important than nature. Whereas I don't know that for a fact and think my kid will become whatever the DNA + my influence + society influence will determine. I wasn't home schooled. And didn't even go to any private schools either. I'd like to think we are smart enough to carve our own path. Regardless of what you do, your son will be his own man.

Lastly, I do believe socialization for a kiddo is important. Interacting with other kids and people is human nature. We are social animals. Why do you insist of depriving your son of this?

Let me turn this around on you - if you are so unhappy with the schooling that's available to you where you live, is this an opportunity to create something? Could you take your passionate disdain for current system as a fuel to create something new and great? Make it into a business?

I'm always curious how homeschooling works. Like, do you come up with the whole education curriculum and teach that to the kids? Maths, science, art and the whole shebang? How? Lol

Anyway, back to the good old 90s!!!

Skipping through 99% of this wall of text, the gist of it is this...

You don't send your kids to government schools!

I don't blame you.

Same reason as @Kak probably - they're a$$ at educating students on what matters. Quality is bad. Y'all are on the same side.

Indoctrination, poor lessons, teachers who care more about espousing la revolucion than teaching arithmetic... You get the idea.

Another: discipline being a bigger focus than teaching. How can your kid learn when the other kids are busy causing mayhem?

Yeah, y'all are doing almost the same thing. It's weird for you to call him out like this. You're both opting out of the free school that the plebs get.

Lol! I was talking about private school… Government school has never even been the slightest consideration.

Seeing some straw that I’m not going to leave alone… I’ll send my actual rebuttal to this in a bit.

Yes I am fired up. Because as someone who used to absolute love sport shooting as a fantastic hobby, it is being taken away from me for 100% BS reasons.

It is very difficult and expensive to maintain a firearms license and jump through the hoops required to even use "restricted" firearms for sport purposes. It's anywhere from $400+ per year just to fulfil the paperwork requirements to be able to use them just at approved ranges. In Canada (as a legal firearm owner) I would not even be able to shoot these on my own land, or any family members land, or use most of my rifles for varmint hunting or target practice. Only at an approved range. The costs for range approval are astronomical. As such, any simple range memberships in this country is insanely expensive as they need to recoup those costs somehow.

In the last 3ish years I personally have had 2 firearms become paper weights that must be double locked at all times. I have friends who have had $30,000+ worth of firearms become paperweights. And now they are going after pistols. And Airsoft....

It is frustrating that the government literally goes after legal owners and will not do a single thing to go after gun smuggling or organized crime which supplies illigal firearms.

They are also looking to reinstate a long gun registry. Yup, gotta keep track of those 22s and single shot hunting rifles that farmers have! Better add another gigantic hurdle, more paperwork, and more expenses. Expenses on the part of owners, and all Canadians who are then subjected to their taxes going to a 100% useless department. Oh, and not to mention a handy database of firearms for real criminals to locate and access, or for future political assholes to have for when they finally decide to make us all criminals or come and take them with their own guns.

So yea. I am a little pissed right now.

Airsoft is next, and I am not even making that up. I'm guessing paintball comes after, and then what? Water guns and Nerf???

Archery is scary too, better take those. And swords, and machetes, and kitchen knives over a certain length. Hell, let's take the baseball bats and golf clubs after.

There are some good schools out there, but it certainly seems this way!
I just laugh when somebody hates on homeschooling while sending their kids to private school. Why? The real alternative to private school is public school.

If ya don't do public school, you're on the same side, purty much.

I'm going to buy a car. So the manufacture of the vehicle, either electric or gasoline, is pretty much a wash other than some battery components.

If I have a robust solar system installed on my house, it seems like I will be reducing much of the co2 from my car and house.

Hi there

So I am here between two choices and I cant decide which one should I pursue.
1 - Take sales job as my part-time job for another company and delegate my current business orders to someone else ( I am delegating already but the idea is to delegate it all) to do and try to get someone to make sales in my business.
2 - Drop the part-time sales offer and buy a business list with business information - contact numbers and e-mails etc and start making phone calls to lands sales for my business and delegate all landing deals. So I would do sales for myself and work is outsourced. Net what I would get when my services are outsourced would be around 45-65%. Depending on the project

Have a nice day

Our buddy JT keeps forgetting that gun laws in Canada are already very strict. He’s just riding the latest waive of what he thinks is “popular” based on the shooting and n Tx. He’s a puppy and you know my opinion on him. :)

Edit: you are right about golf clubs, when the game isn’t going my way, they become dangerous weapon in my hands! Just ask the few trees that got hit.

I'm not, I'm just waiting for you to respond to the actual comment! C'mon, what are the reasons you chose private instead of government schools?

You are practically biting my head off, lol. I feel like I’m not allowed to disagree with a rant without being a “hater” in your opinion. You do seem super sensitive on this issue. Chill brother. I’m not hating on you.

I also drive a nice car instead of taking public transit. The reason for private school for my kiddo is simple: I do what I think is best. Best often costs some money. As long as I can afford it… it’s that simple.

I feel like a debate on this topic between you two would make a good radio show episode....

Entertainment value off the charts lol. I can imagine @Kak saying things like “this two year old commie kid in daycare really got on my nerves”

But seriously, it may not come off well in posts vs tonality of an in person chat, I really don’t give a shit what others do. So the show would flop. Kak seems passionate, and @thechosen1 seems on a mission lol. I’d probably just say “ok, good luck, have a nice day”.

I’ll now go grab some popcorn waiting for @kak’s rebuttal

Not at all. Chill. I don't homeschool, it's not my issue. I'm trying to get you to admit that private school is better than public, which you did. It wasn't so hard, was it? Hahaha
