Anyone hear about the 365 data centers ransomware attack? Some of my favorite websites (role models) have basically lost their entire business. e.g., Temp Page - The Paleo Mom

Just curious what others think and how we can prevent this from happening to us.

And I'm not sure which facet of this you would want to prevent, but the simplest solution would be to regularly create a backup and save it on a local computer.

Many people keep their backups on the same service that their website is hosted on, and in event like this, that solution proves to be inadequate.

Yes, I immediately backed up everything when I heard this.

I guess I would expect Amazon servers to be safer... but maybe not.

Safer? Yeah, sure, probably. Doesn't mean something bad can't happen...
