When considering wealth as a method of qualification for purchasing certain investments,
refer to the SEC's Rule 501, Regulation D which states that an "Accredited Investor" is defined as (among other things) "[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]a natural person who has individual net worth, or joint net worth with the person’s spouse, that exceeds $1 million. . ."
It's important note the it's NET worth, not assets controlled, etc. Also, there are no distinctions between asset classes, liquidity, equity in personal residence, etc.[/FONT]
