You have to take your shirt off in front of everyone.
And that’s when life gets real. That’s when you realized you were making a big mistake and right now it is all being paid for.
You see in life we don’t get away with anything. We just think we do for a short while.
99% of life we can bullshit through. Very rarely are the cards face up on the table and that’s why everyone’s full of shit.
If you are wise, you will live in those cards down, shirts off moments in your mind as you live your life.
If you have been burned by them they sting so clearly you will never forget.
You will not miss the opportunity again.
You remember how it feels to be called fat, or for that girl to leave, and you remember the sting. People are brutal. Life is brutal. Choice is brutal. We live in a world of euphemisms but the undercurrent is real, raw, and violently unforgiving.
Wise men know that the raw unforgiving undercurrent is reality. The 1% of the time when it’s exposed. Not the 99% bullshit euphemisms.
So wise men know that they must live in reality. Where the shirts are off and they’re looking at your belly, and the wallets are open and they’re looking at your bank account. Today might feel like nothings wrong but you know it’s all fake.
Cowards love the euphemisms. They hate the truth. They hate having to pay for their gluttony and their sloth.
Men who seek truth love reality and wish it was the default state. Where nobody got away with anything even for a moment.
