I've seen FB is getting very smart at targeting ads now, with a lot more inventory and some clever re-targeting. I get hit for bizopp type advertisers all the time probably because I look at business and online biz type sites, also some other stuff like fitness etc is really well targeted and much better than it used to be.
What I really find stupid/hilarious is that I am now exposed to these ridiculous get rich quick scam artists who seem to love posting pictures of themselves by the pool / beach. What is it about the beach or pool that makes them think that everyone aspires to sitting by the beach as the pinnacle of success and proof that you should buy their product so you too can take a picture of yourself by the pool.
E.g. This morning I had a msg on Facebook, logged in and saw these:

They're also starting to push more adult ads, they used to be really strict on showing any skin...now they seem to be running straight up adult ads:

I invested in FB stock just after xmas, its jumped from low $20s to low $30s. A lot of people are sceptical, but my thinking is how can a service that 1/6th of humanity - and an even bigger proportion of those with any disposable income - use regularly. Long term play I think FB are going to be pumping revenue.
